1/2 lb Butter 1/2 c Confectioner's sugar sifted 2 c Cake flour sifted 1 c Pecans chopped 1 ts Vanilla Cream butter; add sugar. Stir well and add flour, nuts and vanilla. Shape into balls or crescent (just drop them from the spoon - the more you handle them the harder they will get) and bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325 deg. for 20 minutes or until a light brown. A delicate and outstandingly delicious holiday cookie. Quick and easy to make!
2 cups all purpose flour 5 tblsp. confectionery sugar (Mix flour and sugar together) 2 sticks of very soft butter(no substitute, you must use butter) Mix the butter with the flour mixture (use a mixer) 1 cup of toasted chopped pecans Fold the nuts into the butter, flour mixture Form into small balls or crescent shapes Bake 20 to 25 minutes @ 350 until a very light golden color & bottoms very light brown Roll in additional confectionery sugar till coated while still hot. ENJOY!!

Lebanon PA, 1.2.2021: PA Dutch Drop SandTarts in Jo Ellen's Kitchen Kum Esse (Come Eat.) INGREDIENTS: --1/2 cup butter --1 1/2 cups sugar --1/2 teaspoon vanilla --2 cups flour --1/2 teaspoon baking soda DIRECTIONS: Emphasis added: No other wet ingredients like milk are added to this recipe. Combine ingredients in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly, by hand if necessary, to get all of the flour off of the bottom of the bowl. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place rounded teaspoons of the thick batter onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes until lightly brown around the edges. Remove from heat. Sprinkle with colored sugar or cinnamon sugar. Cool on pieces of waxed paper.
