How To make Cranberry Buttermilk Scones
3 c Unbleached a-p flour
1/4 c Plus 2 t sugar
1 3/4 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts Salt
10 tb (1 1/4 sticks) chilled,
-unsalted butter, cut into -small pieces 3/4 c Dried cranberries
1/2 c Buttermilk
3 lg Eggs
1 t Water
Position rack in center of oven and preheat to 375. Butter two 9" diameter cake pans. Combine flour, 1/4 c sugar, baking powder and salt in large bowl. Add butter, rub in with fingertips until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add cranberries. Whisk buttermilk and 2 eggs in small bowl. Stir into dry ingredients. Turn out on lightly floured surface. Knead gently just until soft dough forms. Divide dough into 2 pieces. Form each piece into ball. Transfer each ball to 1 prepared pan; press out dough into 8" diameter round. Using sharp knife, score top of each round into 8 wedges. Whisk remaining egg with 1 t water in small bowl. Brush mixture over scones. Sprinkle with 2 t sugar. Bake scones until golden, about 30 minutes. Cool 5 minutes. Invert scones onto platters. Turn right side up. Cut along score marks. Serve warm. From Bon Appetit Dec. Join 92-year-old CWA member Muriel Halsted through a short but sweet tour of her classic scone recipe. The CWA decided to bring their scones into the virtual world after the cancellation of the Sydney Royal Easter Show last month.
The group often sells as many as 50,000 scones, tea and coffee products created by its members at the show each year, but has now opted to selling PDF recipes following a $5 donation for a plate of virtual scones.

These Cranberry Oat Scones are perfect on chilly mornings, as their texture is hearty due to the addition of rolled oats. There are no eggs in this scone recipe and instead of milk, I've used buttermilk, which gives the scones a more bread-like texture. I've also flavored the scones with orange zest and dried cranberries, but you could use dried cherries, raisins, or currants.

Bake With Me: In today's video, I wanted to create something light and easy that I can eat for breakfast or for a snack around the house. These cranberry buttermilk scones are light and delicious!
This is a quick and easy scone recipe that anyone can make and is delicious.

Ingredients:
300g Flour
3g-baking soda
5g- baking powder-
3g -salt
80g- brown sugar
120g - butter
80g -cranberries
50g -eggs
100g - buttermilk
METHOD USED:
1. Mix all dry ingredients together, sift
2. Add butter to dry ingredients and blend until a coarse meal is formed.
3.Add cranberries in stages until everything is incorporated.
4. Mix all wet ingredients together, then combine with the dry.
