Apple Cake Recipe Easy | Fresh Apples & Cinnamon | Best Ever Apple Cake | EASY RICE COOKER CAKES
NOTE:
* 1 cup = 250 ml
INGREDIENTS:
• 2 cups (280g) CHOPPED APPLES (4-5 green apples)
• 2 tsp (10g) LEMON JUICE (optional)
• 1 cup (150g) SLICED APPLES (1 apple)
• 2 tsp (10g) LEMON JUICE (optional)
• 1 cup (140g) ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
• 1 tsp (4g) GROUND CINNAMON
• 1/2 tsp (2g) GROUND NUTMEG
• 1/4 tsp BAKING SODA
• 1/4 tsp SALT
• 1/4 cup (57g) UNSALTED BUTTER (room temp soft)
• 1/2 cup (100g) SUGAR
• 1 EGG
• 1/2 tsp (3g) VANILLA FLAVORING
HOW TO MAKE IT:
1. Peel and chop apples to get 2 cups. Add lemon juice and mix to prevent the apples from turning brown
2. Slice one apple to get 1 cup. Add lemon juice and toss to mix
3. Whisk together flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda and salt in a bowl
4. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar until combined
5. Add egg and vanilla flavoring then beat until light in color
6. Add the dry ingredients and fold to combine. Then beat for 30 seconds to incorporate
7. Fold in chopped apples. Your batter will be very thick. But no worries as the juice from the apples will add moisture to your cake
8. Pour into lined pot/pan and evenly distribute batter onto the bottom
9. Lay sliced apples on top (see video) and push into batter slightly
10. Put a paper towel on top to catch condensation and bake for 2 bake cycles (1 hr) then check. Rice cooker varies so bake longer as needed. Mine was 3 bake (90 min)
11. Cool for 20-30 and enjoy!
OVEN BAKING:
Bake in pre-heated oven of 350F (175C) for 30-40 minutes. Ovens varied so check around 30 minutes and bake longer as needed

1935 Pennsylvania Dutch Apple Sauce Cake Recipe - Old Cookbook Show
Today on the old cookbook show we're doing a Pennsylvania Dutch Applesauce Cake recipe from one of our newest Old Cookbooks. This is an heirloom recipe that is vaguely like a snackin' cake recipe from Betty Crocker.
Dutch Apple Sauce Cake Recipe:
2 cups flour
1 cup apple sauce
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup raisins
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup butter
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon cloves
1 grated nutmeg
Mix butter, sugar and cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon. Mix the baking soda in the applesauce, then add the flour and apple sauce to the mixture. Bake in a moderate oven.
