125 g Butter
Or ghee (1/8 lb) 1 tb Cinnamon
2 ts Cardamon
1 t Black pepper
1 t Cloves
3 cl Garlic - crushed
4 Onions finely sliced
1 tb Finely chopped ginger
1 kg Chicken pieces (2.2 lb)
Thigh fillets 2 c Plain yoghurt
1 t Chilli powder
1 t Salt
1/4 ts Saffron
1 c Coconut cream
3 tb Slivered roasted almonds
Fry cinnamon, cardamon, pepper and cloves. Add garlic and ginger and cook for 5-8 minutes, stirring to prevent burning. Toss through the chicken, and cook a further 5 minutes. Combine chilli, yoghurt, salt, and saffron and add to the chicken. Cook until tender. Add coconut cream and almonds, and cook further 5 minutes to allow sauce to reduce. Chilli chicken has to be the go to option with almost any type of bread or rice items like fried rice recipes or noodles. The taste of the recipe highly depend on the details of the ingredients being used . Chilli chicken is generally a sweet, spicy and slightly sour tasting recipe with flavours of bell peppers, garlic, chilli sauce and soya sauce. You can also use boneless cubes of chicken.
Which style of chilli chicken do you prefer? Chinese or Indian?
While there are many different styles, ingredients and processes that goes into making chilli chicken. Here is one from us the easier version of all chilli chicken recipes :
Ingredients:
- Chicken
- Pepper powder
- Salt
- Soya sauce
- Tomato sauce
- Green chilli sauce
- Chilli powder
- Onion
- Ginger
- Garlic
- Chillies
- Cornflour
Preparation:
1. In a heated pan, add oil, 500 grams of chicken, ¾ tbsp of pepper powder and salt to taste.
2. Sauté for 5 mins on high flame and later cover and cook them for 15 mins on low flame. Sauté in intervals!
3. Add 3tbsp of soya sauce, 2tbsp of tomato sauce, 1tbsp green chilli sauce, 1 tsp chilli powder and mix them all together. Combine them well!
4. Add 2 big cubed onions, ¾ tbsp of garlic and ginger each and 6 slit chillies to this.
5. Mix them all well and cook for 5 mins.
6. Now to get a restaurant type of coating, all you have to do is add cornflour slurry to this.
7. Avoid using food colour in the recipe and we have replaced it with best quality chilli powder.
8. Ready to serve. ????

The Best Crispy Chilli Chicken Recipe | Spicy Chilli Chicken
This delicious Chinese Crispy Chilli Chicken made with fried chicken strips tossed with delicious spicy-sweet, honey chilli sauce. You can create Chinese takeaway-style crispy chilli chicken at home with simple ingredients!
Full Detail Recipe ▶
???? Ingredients
▢350 g Chicken breast ( about 12oz ) cut into thin strips about
▢1 Egg white
▢1 cup Corn starch
▢1 tbsp Garlic finely chopped
▢2 tsp Oil
▢Oil for frying Vegetable or neutral flavour oil
Chicken Marinade
▢1 tbsp Light soy sauce
▢1 tsp Garlic paste or finely grated garlic
▢1 tsp Sesame oil
▢2 tsp Sugar
▢½ tsp White pepper or black pepper
Chilli Sauce Mixture
▢3 tbsp Sriracha sauce Or hot chilli sauce ( see details in note )
▢2 tbsp Tomato ketchup
▢2 tbsp Honey Or sugar
▢1 tbsp Lime
▢¼ tsp Chilli flakes optional
Garnish
▢1 Red chili pepper cut thin slices
▢2 Spring onions cut thin slices
???? Instruction
Place the chicken strips in a bowl and marinade for 10-15 minutes. Mix all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set it aside.
Next, add egg white into the chicken and mix it well. Then add the corn starch and coat each chicken piece. ( Add more corn starch if needed. )
Deep fry the coated chicken pieces and set aside for 4-5 minutes. Then fry it again for another 2-3 minutes until crispy golden.
Sauté the chopped garlic for few seconds. Then pour the sauce mixture in and stir for few seconds, place the fried chicken strips back in the wok.
Combine the sauce and chicken pieces well and sprinkle fresh chilli slices and spring onions.
Transfer to serving plate and serve immediately.

CHICKEN CHILI
Ingredients for chicken marination:
Boneless chicken (strips) 1 kg
Corn flour 2 tbsp
Vinegar 1 tbsp
Chili sauce 1 1/2 tbsp
Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
Salt 1 tsp / to taste
Red Chili flakes 1 tsp
Oil 2 tbsp
Egg white 1
Oil (for frying) as required
Ingredients for chili dry sauce:
Chicken stock 1 cup
Oyster sauce 2 tbsp
Thai chili sauce 2 tbsp
Corn flour 3 tbsp
Soy sauce 2 tbsp
Red Chili flakes 1 tbsp
Black pepper crushed 1 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp
Chili sauce 2 tbsp
Ingredients for chicken chili dry:
Oil 1/4 cup
Ginger (chopped) 1 tbsp
Garlic (chopped) 1 tbsp
Green chilies (scallion) 1/2 cup
Prepared chicken
Prepared sauce
Green chilies (for garnishing) as required
Directions for chicken marination:
1- In a bowl add chicken strips, corn flour, vinegar, chili sauce, black pepper, chili sauce, chili flakes, oil, and egg white and mix it well. Marinate it for 15-20 mins.
2- In a wok heat oil and add marinated chicken strips. Deep fry until golden and half cooked. Set aside.
Directions for chili dry sauce:
1- In a bowl add, chicken stock, oyster sauce, Thai chili sauce, corn flour, soya sauce, chili flakes, black pepper, salt, and chili sauce. And mix it well
2- Your chili dry sauce is ready to set aside for cooking
Directions for chicken chili dry
1- In a wok add oil and ginger, garlic , and cook for 1-2 mins.
2- Now add green chilies and mix well. Add cooked chicken, and prepared sauce and Cook until it gets glazy.
3- Your chicken chili dry is ready. Serve with egg fried rice and garnish with green chilies.
Prep time: 10-15 mins
Cooking time: 30 mins
