4 cups CREAMED CHICKEN
1 package frozen peas
10 ounces
4 ounces mushrooms :
trimmed and sliced
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons vegetable shortening
1/2 cup milk
1/8 teaspoon paprika
1. Put chicken, peas and mushroom in a 9 or 10" deep-dish pie plate. Stir to mix. 2. Mix flour, baking powder, salt and pepper in a medium bowl. Cut in shortening. Add milk and toss with a fork until just blended. Drop 8 heaping tablespoonfuls on chicken mixture; sprinkle with paprika. Can freeze at this point or bake 350? til thick and bubbly. 2 hours if frozen. Can use Bisquick instead of flour, baking powder, shortening. Cal: 471 Pro: 28g Carbs: 49g Fat: 18g Sodium: 848

Skillet Chicken Pot Pie with Biscuits
Ingredients
3 Tbsp butter
1 small onion
3 ½ Tbsp all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 ½ cup chicken broth
1/3 cup cream of chicken soup
½ teaspoon dried sage
½ teaspoon dried thyme
¾ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
2 cup cooked chicken
1 ½ cup mixed vegetables
1 can large biscuits
Instructions
1. Heat the oven to 400 degrees.
2. Heat the skillet over medium heat. Add butter and onion and cook onions for 2 minutes.
Stirring frequently until tender. Add flour and cook for about a minute.
3. Whisk in milk until no lumps. Add the chicken broth, stir for a bit and add the cream of chicken soup. Let it simmer for 5 minutes, whisking often until it thickens. Add thyme, sage, salt and pepper stirring until bubbly and thickened.
4. Add cooked chicken (or turkey) and frozen mixed vegetables.
5. Turn the heat to low and allow the mixture to heat thoroughly.
6. Place the biscuits over top of the mixture and bake it for 25 minutes.

INGREDIENTS
6 tablespoons butter
1 onion, chopped
½ cup flour
3 cups chicken broth
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 cup heavy cream
2½ cups frozen mixed vegetables
1 rotisserie chicken, shredded
2 tubes biscuit dough (8 biscuits each)
PREPARATION
Preheat oven to 350˚F/180˚C.
In a large pot over medium-high heat, melt the butter.
Add the onion, stir until softened. About 1 minute.
Whisk in the flour, stirring constantly to prevent the flour from browning. About 1 minute.
Whisk in the chicken broth, salt, and pepper. Continue to whisk until no lumps remain.
Whisk in the heavy cream. Bring to a light simmer until the sauce has thickened slightly. Test for additional salt/pepper.
Add the mixed vegetables and shredded chicken, stir until fully incorporated.
Transfer to a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Evenly top with 12 pieces of biscuit dough (you will have extra biscuits, which can be baked off separately).
Bake in a preheated oven for 20 minutes, until the biscuits are golden and the gravy mixture is bubbling.
Cool slightly before serving.
