*Ingredients:
1 lb (half kg) Pork chops
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp banana ketchup
4 pcs calamansi or 2 medium lemons
1 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp ground pepper
1 tbsp Knorr liquid seasoning
2 tbsp cooking oil
Serve with steamed rice
*Dipping Sauce Ingredients:
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 medium onion (finely chopped)
1 chile pepper (serrano or jalapeno or long green chile or
red Thai chile pepper or siling labuyo) (finely chopped)
1 tbsp fish sauce or soy sauce
1 tsp white granulated sugar (optional)

This Southern Style Smothered Chicken is packed with flavors, Its differently one of my favorite soulfood meals of all time, you've got to try this Smothered chicken recipe with a side of Homemade mash potatoes or on a nice bed of white rice. SO YUMMY

Southern Style Smothered Chicken with Gravy | Smothered Chicken Recipe????
Ingredients:
1 whole cut-up chicken
salt
black pepper
onion powder
garlic powder
garlic and herb seasoning
spicy seasoning
chicken seasoning
dried parsley
(((Clean, wash and pat dry your chicken, place chicken in a bowl, add all seasoning listed above to your chicken parts. )))
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
(((Place a cast iron skillet on high heat, add butter and oil, brown chicken parts on both sides. Remove from skillet and set aside.)))
1/2 onion, chopped
1/2 green bell, chopped
1 stalk of celery, sliced thin
(((add the veggie listed above to the same skillet you cooked the chicken in, don't clean your skillet. cook veggie cook 3 to 5 mins, set aside. Please use a wooden spoon, do not use a plastic spoon)))
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cooking oil
1/2 stick unsalted butter
(((add flour and cooking oil to the skillet, cook on med-high for 15-30 mins...until the roux turns BROWN, please KEEP STIRRING THE ROUX at all times. WATCH: your heat level. When your roux turns BROWN, ADD: the 1/2 stick of butter, KEEP STIRRING.))) ADD: your cooked VEGGIES to the roux.
(1) 32. oz Chicken Broth
(((Add the chicken broth a little bit at a time, keep stirring and add more broth. Get your gravy to the thickness you like. TASTE the gravy))) Seasoning it to your liking using these ingredients BELOW.

(((give your gravy a good mix...TASTE, pour your gravy over the chicken using a tin pan with lid...or add chicken to the skillet. Cover with lid, SET OVEN TEMP. TO 375 DEGREES, cook for about 45 mins, SERVE with mash potatoes or rice.)))
