How To make Chicken In Pastry 2
2 tb Butter or margarine
1/4 c Chopped shallots
1 md Garlic clove, minced
1/2 c Cooked rice
1 lb Chopped cooked chicken
2 ts Dried parsley
1/8 ts Dried thyme
Salt Pepper 1 cn (8-oz) crescent rolls
Preheat oven to 350. In a large frying pan, melt margarine over medium heat. Add shallots and garlic and cook until tender but not brown, about 2 minutes. Stir in chicken, rice, parsley, thyme, and salt and pepper to taste. Separate crescent rolls into 4 squares; seal line in each square. Divide chicken mixture equally among squares; fold to make a triangle and seal edges. Bakeon an ungreased baking sheet 15 minutes, until golden brown. Ingredients:-
500 grams puff pastry
For the Filling:-
1 cup Chicken mince
2 tbsp. Oil
1 tsp. Cumin seeds
½ cup onion chopped
Salt as required
1 tbsp. Ginger garlic green chilly paste
1 tbsp. Coriander powder
½ tsp. Chilli powder
½ tsp. Turmeric powder
¼ cup corriander leaves
¼ cup mint leaves
For the Eggwash:-
1 egg yolk
1 tbsp. water
½ tsp. Salt
2 tbsp sesame seeds
Method:-
The Filling:-
- Heat oil in a pan and crackle cumin seeds in it.
- Add onion, salt and saute until onions are translucent.
- Then add in crushed ginger-garlic-green chillies and cook until the raw flavour goes away.
- Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, minced chicken and fry on high flame for 2-3 minutes, turn the flame off and add coriander leaves and mint leaves. Mix well and let it cool down to room temperature.
The Puff Pastry:-
- Sprinkle refined flour on the counter and the puff pastry dough and roll it into a 3mm sheet with a rolling pin as shown in the video.
- Fill the pastry with the chicken mince and seal as shown.
- Apply eggwash on top of the pastry using a brush.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Place the pastries on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 20 minutes.
- Cool down for 5 minutes and serve with Tomato Ketchup and/or Mayonnaise.

Creamed Chicken on Puff Pastry
A classy luncheon or supper dish. I used canned chicken for this recipe, but home-cooked chicken (or canned tuna, crab, or even lobster) will work as well. Thank you for watching! Ingredients are listed below.
Creamed Chicken on Puff Pastry
Puff pastry shells*
2 tablespoons butter
1-2 tablespoons diced onion
2 tablespoons flour
2 cups half-and-half (or milk, or stock)
Salt and pepper to taste
Garlic powder to taste
Onion powder to taste
1/2 to 1 teaspoon dried tarragon leaves
1 bag (about 3 cups) frozen peas and carrots, thawed and cooked
1 (10-ounce) can chicken breast meat
Garnish: Fresh, minced parsley
*Feel free to use puff pastry sheets instead of the little shells. Cut the sheets into 4 squares or 6 rectangles. After baking, split the pieces horizontally in half. Spoon the creamed chicken mixture onto one half, and place the other half on top.
