Chinese Casserole
This is an old recipe that I have made for my family several times.
This is even better the next day. All you have to do is heat it up.
I am not a chef just a home cook. I grew up on garden food and southern home cooking.
I will be sharing some recipes that my Momma made and other family recipes and things I made for my family when my kids were growing up. I also look for new things to make from other channels and online sites and will make it and give it a try. I will tell which site or channel I got it from as well.

Homemade Chicken Chow Mein Recipe (Step-by-Step) | HowToCook.Recipes
This delicious classic chow mein recipe is just like the Chinese restaurants make including the chow mein sauce made from scratch! This recipe is super easy and includes lean chicken breast, tender chow mein noodles, fresh veggies, and a savory sauce.
View FULL Step-by-Step recipe here:
Ingredients:
2 chicken breast (thinly sliced)
3 cups green cabbage (shredded)
2 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp garlic (minced)
6 oz chow mein noodles
1 carrot (julienned)
3 green onions (chopped)
1/4 cup water
Chow Mein Sauce
1 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp Mirin
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp sesame oil
pepper (pinch)
Instructions:
1. First, make your sauce. Whisk together the cornstarch and soy sauce, then add in the remaining sauce ingredients. Place your thinly sliced chicken breast in a large mixing bowl and pour about 1 tablespoon over the chicken, coating evenly and set aside to marinate for 10 minutes.
2. Prepare the chow mein noodles per package instructions, then drain and set aside.
3. In a large wok, heat your sesame oil on high heat. Once heated, add in the garlic and stir fry until golden brown. Once golden, add in the chicken breast and cook for about a minute. Next, add the cabbage and carrot, stir frying until the cabbage has mostly wilted. Once wilted, add in the noodles, sauce and water. Toss constantly until evenly coated. Add in your green onions, toss for an additional 30 seconds, then serve immediately.
