OK Guys this is a STREET FOOD stop off at Pa Daeng Jin Tup where BBQ’d meat is sledge hammered into a stringy flossy consistency. You then dip in the Chili and Galangal or Nam Jim Jaew sauce and eat – The taste of the sledge hammer meat seems to be exaggerated and it is very tasty indeed!
This restaurant has recently moved from a quiet location which was featured by Chef Andy Ricker on the show with Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown Thailand – No 1 Food Vlogger Mark Wiens made a very good video also from the old location.
Due to the current situation in Thailand and no customers, the restaurant is now at the side of a very busy road – it is attracting many customers now!
The BBQ is smoking and the meat is pounded there are a few other items of the menu which is very limited at the tie of this video!
I tried the hammered beef, Pork, Naem Pork with egg, Pigs Brains, sticky rice and the spicy pork soup.
I can say that the food is EXCELLENT!

About Pai:
Pailin “Pai” Chongchitnant is the author of the Hot Thai Kitchen cookbook, co-host of a Canadian TV series One World Kitchen on Gusto TV, and creator and host of the YouTube channel Pailin's Kitchen.
Pai was born and raised in southern Thailand where she spent much of her playtime in the kitchen. She traveled to Canada to study Nutritional Sciences at the University of British Columbia, and was later trained as a chef at Le Cordon Bleu culinary school in San Francisco.
