How To make Braised Oxtails In Cabbage Leaves On Mashed Potatoes
4 pounds oxtails,
cut 2 inches thick
Salt and freshly ground black pepper 2 cups diced onion
1 cup diced carrot
1/2 cup diced peeled celery
6 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme leaves
1 tablespoon chopped fresh sage leaves
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
3 bay leaves
2 cups canned plum tomatoes with their juices
2 cups red wine
2 tablespoons capers :

8 large cabbage leaves, blanched in salted w
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Heat a large casserole dish with 1/8-inch oil over medium high heat. Season the oxtails with salt and pepper and sear on all sides in the casserole. Transfer the oxtails to a plate and add the onions, carrots, celery and garlic to the pan and cook until they start to caramelize. Add the herbs and spices, and return the oxtails to the pan. Add the tomatoes, wine and capers and bring to a boil. There should be just enough liquid to come halfway up the oxtails. Add water if necessary. Cover with a piece of foil and then with a lid and braise in the oven 4 hours. Add more water during the braising if the juices reduce too much. The oxtails are done when the meat is falling off the bones. When cool enough to handle, strip the meat off the bones. Discard excess fat and grizzle. Chop the meat. Strain 1 cup vegetables out of the sauce and mix the vegetables with the meat. Add the crumbs, cheese and parsley and mix well. Season with salt and pepper. Remove the tough part of the stems in the cabbage leaves. Season leaves with salt and pepper. Distribute the stuffing evenly among the leaves. Roll up the leaves into a sausage shape, completely enclosing the stuffing. Arrange the cabbage leaves in a gratin that holds them snugly. Pour the juices, thinned with water if necessary, around the rolls. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 375 degrees 30 minutes or until heated through and golden on top. Serve on mashed potatoes

FALL OFF THE BONE OXTAIL | OXTAIL RECIPE || FRUGALLYT
Welcome back to my channel. Today I’ll be showing you how I make these fall off the bone oxtails.
INGREDIENTS: (Season Oxtail)
2-3 lb Oxtail
Salt to taste
1-2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tbsp green seasoning
1 tsp ground all spice
1 tbsp ginger sliced
Fresh thyme
1 tsp browning (can use soy sauce)
OTHER INGREDIENTS:
Sliced onion
Green onion
Pimento pepper(seasoning pepper)
1 scotch bonnet pepper
2 garlic cloves
Bay leaves
1 chicken bouillon cube
4-6 cups of hot water
2-3 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp vegetable oil

1/2 tbsp onion and herb seasoning

1 cup dry red wine

1 1/2 medium onion
2 scallions

dark red kidney beans
3/4 tsp vegeta (or vegetable boullion)
1/2 tsp Sazon tropical

1/2 cup coconut milk
1 1/2 cups basmati rice
1 tbsp butter
2 1/4 cup water (including liquid from the kidney beans)
*taste the water for seasoning

Ingredients:
oxtail
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 onion, diced
2 cloves of garlic, minced
2 cups beef broth
2 bay leaves1 tsp
thyme
Salt and pepper, to taste
Rosemary
onion and garlic powder

Instructions:
In a large heavy pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
Season the oxtail with salt and pepper and brown them on all sides in the pot.
Remove oxtail from the pot and set aside.
Add the onion and garlic to the pot and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add carrots and capsicum
add onion and garlic powder, mixed herbs
add the beef broth
flour to thicken the sauce
Return the oxtail in the pot
add bay leaves, Rosemary thyme.
Bring the mixture to a boil, then cover the pot with a lid and cook on the stove for 2-2 1/2 hours on low heat, or until the oxtail is tender and falling off the bone
Remove the bay leaves and season with salt and pepper, to taste.Serve the oxtail with mashed potatoes or rice, and enjoy! #cooking #oxtails
