How To make Black Bean Patties
2 c Cooked black beans
1 c Cornmeal
1 tb Cumin
1 c Cooked brown rice
1 c Soymilk
The North American Indians made patties of black beans and cornmeal, cooking them over campfires. Brown rice has been added to give them more substance, though the Native Americans on the plains would have used wild rice. For a main dish, you can make or buy a mushroom gravy to serve over the patties, serving with a green vegetable and salad. Uncooked patties can be wrapped in wax paper and frozen, then for a quick meal you can defrost and fry or grill. This is a nice way to use up leftover rice or beans, but you can also cook some for the occasion. For breakfast, you can serve with warm maple syrup. Cool the beans and rice, if you have just cooked them. Combine all the ingredients well. Add more cornmeal as needed to form a stiff dough. Form into patties. Add corn oil to a frying pan and fry, or grill over charcoal. Cooking black beans: put 1 cup dry black beans in 3 cups water and store overnight (a quart canning jar works well for this.) Bring to a boil in fresh water and simmer around 40 minutes. Cooking brown rice: place 1 cup brown rice in 2 1/2 cups water. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer until water has disappeared, about 35 minutes. Let the rice rest with cover on an additional 10 minutes. From: Mary Howard.

Today, I’ll share with you this amazing black bean burger patty recipe vegan delight! This is from our Daniel fast cookbook . Well, today I'm going to help you learn how to make the black bean burger patty.
Black Bean Burger Patty Recipe Vegan Ingredients
Ready to make this veggie burger recipe?
For this black bean burger patty recipe, I'm going to be using my food processor that fits on my Bosch mixer. Now one of the optional ingredients is going to be red peppers. I'm going to actually mince that with my garlic and with my onions all at one time to get that blended really well and chopped up. Go ahead and put the lid on that.
Okay, that's exactly how I want it. Now I'm going to go ahead and add in the parsley and I got a little bit of parsley and cilantro together. And I also have some fresh oregano straight out of the garden. You just blend that in.
Now we're going to add our balsamic vinegar, I'm using pomegranate balsamic vinegar.
Anytime I can use one of the seven foods or the promised land I feel like I'm just getting a bonus. And then we're going to add in our three tablespoons of tomato paste.
Next, we have our salt and pepper. Freshly milled salt and freshly milled pepper is always going to give you a much richer flavor. And you may even need less because of their good flavor. Alright, now we're gonna go ahead and blend that in.
And now it's time to add in some beans we're using three cups. If you are using canned black beans, that would be approximately two cans of beans. But if you're cooking your beans on your own, then you're going to need three cups of already cooked beans. I'm just going to do a portion of it and mix that up. Now I actually skipped over the Dijon mustard. So let me get that in our mix. Because we definitely don't want to lose that flavor. That may not make it down there. All right, now I'm going to go ahead and add a little bit of the oatmeal and I'm going to alternate between adding the oatmeal and adding the beans to finish this off.

The Best Vegan Burger recipe | Protien Packed Black Bean | Chef Joya
Hey Guys!!
I’ve heard you guys for a while now, wanting to make your own vegan burgers so I’ve decided to let another one of my babies out of the vault. I never thought I would share this recipe with anyone after July 2017, but here we are!
I know you’re going to enjoy this recipe as much as I do so let me know when you try it. If there is something you don’t like or allergic to, it’s simple, don’t use it.Your toppings can be whatever you want because it’s your burger and business.
I would love to hear what you think below and share with someone who would love this.
Sauté 1 onion (diced)
1 sweet bell pepper diced
4 cloves of Garlic (minced)
1 chopped jalapeno.
1 cup of chopped mushrooms
1 can black beans
Add in 1 cup of cooked red or brown lentils
1 tbsp My Red House seasoning
Add 1 cup of TVP or thawed vegan meat crumbles( don’t want mock meats? Add more mushrooms and lentils)
Add about 2 tbsp of veggie stock
Add 1/2 cup quick oatmeal
about a tsp vegan worcestershire sauce
Add about 4 dashes of tobasco sauce
Add tbsp beef vegan bouillon
1 tbsp of Chili Powder
Remove from heat and add to a bowl
1/2 tsp of liquid smoke
Add in 1 cup of vital wheat gluten flour (or other flour with bread crumbs, this will change the set time) and mix for 2 mins. Add more veggie stick or flour if needed.
Add extra seasonings as needed
Form into patties and chill in freezer for 15-45 mins
Heat any oil if your choosing on a flat top or skillet and cook for 2 mins on each side. Top it with whatever you choose but definitely make sure you use some Steak Sauce..
Enjoy!!
