Sometimes we think about Barbecue being difficult, but it doesn't have to be! This Texas Homemade BBQ Sauce proves my point. Now you can wow your friends with a delicious BBQ Sauce made in your own backyard (well... in your kitchen.)
Ingredients:
2 Tablespoons of butter
1/2 red onion
1 clove of garlic (or about 1 teaspoon)
1 cup of ketchup
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of lemon juice
2 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
1 teaspoon of tomato paste
1 Tablespoon of yellow mustard
1 Tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons of chili powder
Add salt and pepper as desired (I didn't add any)
Directions:
Melt the butter in a saucepan on medium high heat. Add your onions and cook for about 3 minutes.
Add your garlic and cook for 2 minutes stirring continuously.
Add the rest of your ingredients and mix it together. Let it simmer until it reaches desired texture.
To make the sauce smooth, run it through a blender. Or you can leave it chunky. Either way still tastes delicious!

Marinating and Basting Recipes | Cucina Cooking Tips with Nadia
Marination is the process of soaking foods in a seasoned, often acidic, liquid before cooking. The origin of the word alludes to the use of brine (aqua marina) in the pickling process, which led to the technique of adding flavor by immersion in liquid.
The liquid in question, the 'marinade', can be either acidic (made with ingredients such as vinegar, lemon juice, or wine) or enzymatic (made with ingredients such as pineapple, papaya or ginger). In addition to these ingredients, a marinade often contains oils, herbs, and spices to further flavor the food items.
