How To make Basbousa Bil Laban Zabadi (Basbousa with Yogurt)
1 c Sugar
1/3 c Water
1/2 Lemon (juice only)
1/2 lb Unsalted butter
1/3 c Blanched almonds
1/2 c Yogurt
3/4 c Sugar
1 c Semolina
1 ts Baking powder
Few drops vanilla extract Whipped cream Make a thick syrup by boiling the sugar, water and lemon juice together and simmering until it thickens. Allow to cool and chill. Melt half of the unsalted butter. Toast the blanched almonds and chop them finely. Beat the yogurt with the sugar in a large mixing bowl. Add melted butter and all remaining ingredients except the cream, and beat well until thoroughly mixed. Pour into a large rectangular buttered baking tray and bake in a 400 degree oven for 30 min. Pour the cold syrup immediately over the hot basbousa as soon as it comes out of the oven. Cut into lozenge shapes and return to the oven for 3 more minutes. كوب إلا ربع سكر ( حجم الكوب 200 مل)
كوب زيت
كوب حليب
1 ياغورت او زبادي
2 كوب سميد خشن ممكن استعمال الناعم
1 كوب من اللوز مطحون بقشره
سكر فانيليا
2 كيس خميره الحلوى مجموع 22 غ
لتحضير السيرو أو القطر:
كوب و نصف سكر/ كوب و نصف ماء/ نصف عصير ليمونه
كيس سكر فانيلا

Here’s what you need:
For Basbousa:
1 Cup fine semolina
½ Cup medium or coarse semolina
1 Tbsp baking powder
A pinch of salt
½ Cup sugar
1 Cup melted unsalted butter
½ Cup coconut flakes
2 Eggs
½ Cup table cream
1 Cup milk
For the cream:
4 Cups whole milk (1L)
½ cup Cornstarch
2 Tbsp sugar
8 Oz cream cheese
1 Tsp vanilla extract
½ Cup table cream
For the syrup:
1 Cup water
1 Cup sugar
Lemon juice (half lemon)
1 Tsp Orange blossom water
Garnish with any kind of nuts you have and enjoyyyyy!

Basbousa (Coconut Yogurt Semolina Cake) طريقة عمل البسبوسة سهله وطريه

Basbousa is a traditional Middle Eastern sweet cake that originated in Egypt, although it is also popular in other countries. It is made from a semolina batter and cooked in a pan, then sweetened with orange flower water, rose water or simple syrup, and typically cut into diamond shapes.
Instructions :
Combine 3 cups semolina , 1 can thick cream ,6 tbsp plain yoghurt,2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 cup cooking oil , 2 tbsp shredded coconut , 1-1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup powdered milk , mix well .
Pour into baking
dish , Cut a diamond or square design in the cake with a butter knife. Place an almond or any other type of nut you have on hand onto each pre-cut square.
Bake at 400 degrees for 30 min to 40 mins until it's a bronze brown color. If no color forms on the top turn on broiler for 1-2 minutes until the top is golden/bronze. Cut the Cake again along the pre-cut lines and pour cold syrup on top while its hot so it can absorb all through.
Syrup:
In a sauce pan Combine 1-1/2 sugar , 1 cup water on high heat until it boils . Boil for 10 minutes.
Let it cool.
Add syrup on the top of basbousah.
Enjoy!
