How To make Asparagus Ham Rolls
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
24 fresh or frozen asparagus stalks
8 thin slices fully cooked ham about
1/2 pound)
1/4 cup bread crumbs
In a saucepan, melt butter; stir in flour and cook until thick. Gradually stir in milk and cook until bubbly and thickened. Stir in cheese, salt and pepper. Remove from heat. Place three asparagus stalks on each ham slice. Roll up; secure with toothpicks if necessary. Place in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan; cove r with cheese sauce. Sprinkle with crumbs. Bake at 375 degrees F. for 20 min utes.
Diabetic Exchanges: One serving prepared with margarine and skim milk) equals 1 meat, 1 vegetable, 1/2 starch; also, 125 calories, 492 mg sodium, 19 mg choles terol, 11 gm carbohydrate, 11 gm protein, 7 gm fat.

Ingredients:
4 slices bread
4 slices chicken ham
12 pieces thin asparagus
50g carrot, thinly sliced
100g Perfect Italiano Mozzarella Grated Cheese
100g Perfect Italiano Parmesan Grated Cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Steps:
1.Place chicken ham, followed by asparagus and carrot slices on top of each bread slice.
2.Sprinkle with half the Perfect Italiano Mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, followed by salt and pepper to taste.
3.Roll up each of the bread slices by applying pressure to flatten the bread slightly.
4.Firmly secure by using toothpicks if needed.
5.Top with the remaining Perfect Italiano Mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
6.Bake in preheated 180oC oven until cheese is melted and slightly browned on top.
