Apple Dump Cake (in a Crockpot??!!)

This apple dump cake was a camping favorite for my family. I had my doubts about trying it in a crockpot, but it turned out great!
Ingredients:
2 20 oz cans of apple pie filling (or peach, blueberry, or cherry)
1 box of dry cake mix (I used yellow cake mix)
1/2 stick salted butter cut into small pats

Directions:
1. Layer pie filling in bottom of crockpot to about 1 inch deep.
2. Pour box of cake mix evenly over the top of the filling.
3. Cover the top with the pats of butter.
4. Cook on low for 3-4 hours until done. I cooked it for 6 which was too long.

Serve hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
