How To make White Texas Sheet Cake
Ingredients

cup
butter OR margarine
1
cup
water
2
cup
flour
2
cup
sugar
2
each
eggs, beaten
1 1/4
cup
sour cream
1
teaspoon
salt
1
teaspoon
almond extract
1
teaspoon
baking soda
FROSTING:
1 1/4
cup
butter OR margarine
1 1/2
cup
milk
2
teaspoon
almond extract
1
cup
walnuts OR pecans
4 1/2
cup
confectioners sugar
Directions:
Melt margarine and water in saucepan. Remove from heat and stir in flour, sugar, eggs, sour cream, extract, salt, and baking soda. Beat until smooth.
Pour into greased 15x10 inch pan and bake at 375 degrees 20-22 minutes. Cool.
Frosting: Heat margarine & milk, then mix in remaining ingredients.

Ingredients:
1 cup butter; 1 cup water; 2 cups flour; 2 cups sugar; 2 eggs, beaten; 1/2 cup sour cream; 1 tsp almond extract; 1 tsp salt; 1 tsp baking soda
Bring butter and water to boil, remove from heat and stir in flour, sugar, eggs, eggs, sour cream, almond extract, salt and baking soda until smooth. Pour in 15 x 10 baking pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool and spread frosting over cake.
Frosting:1/2 cup butter; 1/4 cup milk; 1/2 cup powdered sugar; 1/2 tsp almond extract. Combine butter and milk and bring to a boil, remove from heat and stir in powdered sugar and almond extract. Spread on cooled cake.

Greetings! I have gotten so many requests to share the white Texas sheet cake recipe that I finally decided it was time to do that.
This cake is super simple to throw together and it has ingredients that you will have on hand. You can interchange the buttermilk for sour cream if you don't have one or the other and if you have neither, just throw a couple tablespoons of lemon juice or white vinegar into a cup of milk and let it sit for 15 minutes and you have buttermilk substitute.
This frosting is delicious and smooth. It will seem as if it is too runny, but once the cake cools completely, you will see that it sets up nicely and keeps the cake ultra moist.
You will easily get 12 large portions from this cake or 24 small ones.
