1/2 c Shortening 1/2 c Butter 1 2/3 c Granulated sugar 3/4 c Brown sugar; packed 2 Eggs 1 tb Water 1 tb Vanilla extract 2 3/4 c Flour 1 ts Baking soda 1 ts Baking powder 1 ts Salt 1 c Chopped macadamia nuts 1 c White chocolate chips Recipe by: Los Angeles Times 9-5-96 Cream together shortening, butter and granulated and brown sugars by beating in bowl until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, water and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt and add to creamed mixture. Add nuts and mix thoroughly. Add white chocolate chips and mix by hand. Drop batter by rounded tablespoons onto lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees 15 to 20 minutes. Watch carefully during last 5 minutes of baking to prevent over-baking. Makes about 30 large cookies. Each cookie contains about: 212 calories; 133 mg sodium; 23 mg cholesterol; 11 grams fat; 27 grams carbohydrates; 2 grams protein; 0.11 gram fiber. -----

Recipe: 3/4 cups unsalted butter 1 cup sugar 1 large egg 1 teaspoons vanilla 1 cup all purpose flour 1/2 cup cocoa powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 cup white chocolate chips 1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts
Directions: Cream the butter and sugar together in your mixing bowl. Add the egg and vanilla and beat to combine.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour. cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
Once the dry ingredients are mixed, add them to the wet mixture 1/3rd at a time. Scrape down the sides of the bowl in between additions.
Once the ingredients are mixed, add the chopped macadamia nuts and white chocolate chips. Mix until the nuts and white chocolate are evenly distributed.
Roll 1 to 1 1/2 inch balls and place on a parchment paper lined baking tray. Flatten the balls to 1/2 inch thickness.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 mins depending on size.

Macadamia Nut White Chocolate Chip Cookies 1 cup butter, softened 3/4 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 cup white sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda (not powder) 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup coarsely chopped macadamia nuts 1 cup white chocolate chips 1/2 bag of Heath Toffee Brickle
Once mixed per video instructions, drop by well-rounded tablespoons onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake at 350 for about 8 to 10 minutes. Makes about 3 1/2 dozen cookies
