Ingredients
140g plain flour
4 medium eggs
200 ml of semi skimmed milk
Salt and pepper
Vegetable oil or cooking fat
Pour vegetable oil into your muffin tray and pop on the oven at 200c for about 10-15 until very hot
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl until smooth ( no lumps )
When the oil is hot pour the mixture into the wells half way up pop in the oven for 25-30 mins DO Not open the oven door whilst they are cooking.
Serve anyway you like

POPOVERS - How to make Basic POPOVERS Recipe
POPOVERS are the American version of the English YORKSHIRE PUDDING!! Deronda demonstrates (step-by-step) how to make these deliciously basic POPOVERS!! A perfect PUFFED BREAD ROLLS for dipping in stews, soups, or eating at breakfast with eggs, butter, jellies, or jams!! Recipe below by clicking on SHOW MORE...
Basic POPOVERS
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Use a popover tin, or 12-cup muffin pan.
1 cup whole milk, room temperature
3 whole eggs, room temperature
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1. Add 1 teaspoon of oil into the bottom of each popover tin, or 1/2 teaspoon of oil into the bottom of each muffin pan. Place popover pan on cookie sheet. Heat in oven while preparing POPOVER batter (about 10 minutes).
2. In a large mixing bowl...whisk together the eggs and milk for 1 (one) minute. Add flour and salt. Whisk an additional 2 (two) minutes until smooth and no lumps are present in batter. Batter should run smoothly off the back of a stainless steel spoon.
3. Transfer batter into a easy to pour container with spout (like a 2-cup measuring cup).
4. Carefully remove heated popover pan from oven. Immediately pour batter 1/2 (half) way up in each muffins tin.
5. Return back to oven and bake for 25-35 minutes of until POPOVERS are golden in color.
