How To make Tomato Basil Bread
2 1/4 teaspoons dry yeast 3 cups bread flour 3 tablespoons wheat bran 1/3 cup quinoa grain (I didn't have this so I just substituted more flour) 3 tablespoons nonfat dry milk powder 1 tablespoon dried basil 1/3 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes (see below)* 1 teaspoon salt 1 1/4 cups water
*Pour boiling water over sun-dried tomato halves. Soak 10 minutes, drain, and cool to room tenperature. With a scissors. snip into 1/4 inch pieces. Do not use tomatoes that are reconstituted and packed in oil for this recipe.
Add all the ingredients in the order suggested by your bread machine manual and process on the basic bread cycle according to the manufacturers directions. Or knead by hand (or by machine), let rise in bowl lightly sprayed with veg. spray, punch down, let rise in loaf pans (lightly sprayed with veg. spray) , and then bake till browned and done in a 350 oven (approxinaely 20-25 minutes.)

Homemade Tomato Basil Bread
With a breadmaker add these ingredients in this order:
1) 1.5 Cups of lukewarm water
2) 3 Tablespoons of room temperature unsalted butter cut into 1/2 pieces.
3) 3 Tablespoons of Sugar or Honey
4) 1.5 Teaspoons of Salt (we skipped this step as the seasoning will have enough salt)
5) 3.5 Cups of Bread flour
6) 1 Full shaker of [Sun-dried Tomato Basil Wing Shake](
7) 1/4 Cup of Nonfat Dry Milk
8) 2 Teaspoons Yeast, active dry, instant or bread machine
We selected the long cycle for this and it took about 4 hours for the bread to be done. We were not planning on doing a video or a post on this but it was just too good not to share!

A simple and delicious sandwich recipe made with tomatoes and the flavourful basil
TOMATO BASIL SANDWICH
Ingredients
3 medium tomatoes, washed
15-20 basil leaves
4 slices of brown bread
4 slices of white bread
Salt to taste
A pinch of black pepper powder
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Butter for applying
Cheese spread for applying
Tomato ketchup to serve
Method
1. Cut the tomatoes into thin slices.
2. Chop the basil leaves.
3. Take the sliced tomatoes and chopped basil in a bowl. Add salt, black pepper powder and extra virgin olive oil. Mix well. Set aside for 10 minutes.
4. Take a brown bread slice and a white bread slice on a worktop. Apply butter on top of both slices. Apply cheese spread on brown bread slice, place tomato slices on brown bread slice, cover with the white bread. Trim the edges of the breads.
5. Cut the sandwich into fingers.
6. Serve immediately with tomato ketchup.

Ingredients: makes 2 small rectangular cake pan
400g all purpose flour
500g fresh tomatoes
100g olive oil
50g dried tomatoes
30g basil leaves
30g pine nuts
1 tbsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions:
1. put fresh tomatoes into a blender container and blend.
2. add dried tomato and let them soak for an hour.
3. combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix.
4. bake at 356F/180C for 45 minutes.
5. Enjoy!!!

Ingredients
1 (8 oz) ball fresh mozzarella
1 (8,5 oz) jar sun-dried tomatoes in oil
1 basil bouquet or a whole tube of basil paste (4 oz)
1 cup + 1/3 cup flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup milk
3 eggs
Instructions
1 - Preheat oven to 375°F.
2 - Drain the sun-dried tomatoes and cut them into smaller pieces.
3 - Roughly cut the mozzarella in pieces.
4 - Rinse and chop the basil.
5 - Sift the flour over the bowl of a stand mixer. Add the baking powder, salt, and pepper.
6 - Add the oil and milk. Beat until smooth.
7 - Add the eggs one by one beating well between each addition.
8 - Add the sun-dried tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil (or basil paste). Beat well until combined.
9 - Pour batter into a greased and floured loaf pan.
10 - Bake for about 30 to 40 minutes.
