How To make Sweet Potatoes In Applesauce
1 cn Sweet potaotes; 16oz, draind
1/4 ts Salt
1 cn Applesauce; 8 oz.
1/4 c Brown sugar; firmly packed
1 tb Butter (or marg.)
1/4 ts Nutmeg
Place sweet potatoes in a 1 quart casserole. Sprinkle with salt. Spoon applesauce over potatoes. Sprinkle with brown sugar; dot with butter. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. SOURCE: Southern Living Magazine, June, 1974. Typed for you by Nancy Coleman.

Ingredients -
8 apples
1/8 - 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/4 cup of water
Directions
-Peel and core apples then chop them into squares
-put about 1 cup of water into pot and boil
- add apples to pot and turn heat to LOW
-let apples cook/steam add cinnamon cook for 45 minutes
- when apples are soft, smash them
- add 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice to smashed apples
-stir everything together and walah!!! YUM!

Mashed Sweet Potatoes with Applesauce - Lynn's Recipes
Lynn demonstrates how to make mashed sweet potatoes with applesauce. This is delicious as a side dish for dinner or a holiday.
2 pounds of sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
2 Tablespoons butter
¼ cup real maple syrup
1 cup unsweetened applesauce, chunky or regular
½ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon salt
Peel and cube sweet potatoes. In a pot, place sweet potatoes and cover with water. Boil until tender.
Place in a large bowl and mix with the rest of the ingredients with a potato masher or an electric mixer. Serve immediately.

Sugar Free Sweet Potato Casserole! (Gluten Free, Vegan)
The whole family should love this healthier version of a sweet potato pie! It's moist but crunchy with pecans and almost guiltless!
You can make this recipe ahead of time, cover and refrigerate, and then just reheat it in the oven at 300゚when ready!
Makes 10 servings
Ingredients:
2 lbs. sweet potatoes
3 TBS coconut oil (can substitute with butter)
1 cup unsweetened applesauce
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp salt or to taste
pinch of ground nutmeg
1 cup chopped pecans
Extra salt & cinnamon/sugar for topping optional
Directions
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Wrap sweet potatoes in aluminum foil and bake in preheated oven until soft (about 1-1.5 hours)
Remove from oven, cut in half and let cool.
Remove skins and set sweet potatoes aside.
Reduce oven to 375 degrees F.
Add apple sauce and sweet potatoes to your blender (I used a Vitamixer) and blend until smooth
Add melted coconut oil (or butter or ghee), cinnamon, salt and nutmeg and blend until combined.
Transfer to a 9” baking dish and sprinkle the top with pecans and optional topping
Bake at 375 for 25-30 minutes until potatoes begin to slightly bubble and toping is lightly browned.
Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
