Ground Beef Tostadas in Chipotle Sauce - Easy & Tasty!
Tostadas are a fast and easy Mexican dish I always grew up eating but I decided to spice it up a little by adding a Chipotle sauce to the ground beef.
I hope you enjoy!
NOTE: Sauce may be slightly spicy! Adjust amount of peppers as needed!
INGREDIENTS FOR TOSTADAS:
- Your choice of Tostadas
- Refried beans (can be homemade or canned)
- 1 lb of Ground beef
- Toppings of your choice (Cheddar cheese, Tomatoes, Avocado, Salsa, Lettuce, etc.)
- Salt to season
INGREDIENTS FOR CHIPOTLE SAUCE:
- 2 roma tomatoes
- 2 chipotles in adobo sauce (as seen in video - 0:53 for brand)
- 2 Teaspoons of Knorr granulated bouillon (tomato flavor - red top)
- 1-2 Tablespoon of water (depending on how liquidy your want the sauce to be)
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Begin by cooking your ground beef as you would regularly (add some salt to taste)
- Once fully cooked set to low heat while you blend your sauce
- Add all sauce ingredients to blender and blend until smooth. Pour sauce over ground beef. Cook on low heat for additional 5 minutes
- Assemble tostada by starting with refried beans, beef, your choice of toppings

Tostada Recipe
Ingredients:
1 half of lettuce sliced
Pico de Gallo (Half of purple onion chopped, ½ Cup of Cilantro Chopped, and 2 Roma tomatoes cut into chunks)
Sour cream for topping
1 Avocado (sliced)
3 Cheese Mexican Blend
Squeeze of lime juice for topping
Your favorite salsa
Black Olives sliced
1 bag of your favorite tortilla chips
1 ½ pound of Ground Beef
3 cups of cooked Pinto Beans smashed
1 tbsp of Chili powder
1 tbsp of Dried Oregano
1 tsp of Ground Cumin
2 large garlic cloves chopped
Salt and Pepper to taste
Prep all your ingredients.
In one skillet, heat up your pinto beans. Once heated smash the beans and allow the juices to evaporate to where you have creamy beans.
In another skillet, crumble your ground into some Olive Oil. Add your garlic, salt, pepper, chili powder, dried oregano, and cumin. Cook for 7-8 mins and break up the meat as it cooks. Then remove enough fat juices from the skillet. Leave a little for flavor.
Use your favorite tostada shells and layer some beans, ground beef, avocado slices, lettuce, sour cream, cheese, pico de gallo, salsa and squeeze of lemon.
Ready to serve

3 Tbsp homemade taco seasoning or 1 packet store-bought
1/2 cup water
1 head iceberg lettuce, medium, chopped
1 avocado, peeled, pitted and diced
1 cup diced tomatoes or pico de Gallo
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese or Mexican cheese blend
1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
1/2 cup tortilla strips or chips, optional
1 lime cut into wedges, to serve
Lime Crema:
1/2 cup sour cream
1/3 cup mayonnaise
2 Tbsp lime juice, from 1 medium lime
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp sriracha sauce, optional
