1/4 c butter, melted 1 c milk 1 1/2 tsp vanilla 1 c sour cream 2 eggs 1 tbs baking powder 2 tbs sugar 1 1/2 c flour
Mix butter, milk, vanilla, sugar, eggs and sour cream. (For the same taste, but lighter waffles, separate eggs, beat whites until stiff and add separately). Add dry ingredients. Heat waffle iron and bake, about 3/4 to 1 cup per waffle.

***Belgium Waffle Recipe***
2 Eggs
1 Cup Buttermilk
2 Tbs Melted Butter
½ Cup Sour Cream
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
½ Tsp Almond Extract
1 ½ cups All-Purpose Flower
1 Tsp Salt
½ Cup Sugar
1 Tsp Cinnamon
1 Tsp Baking Powder
1 Tsp Baking Soda
**Directions**
1. Combine all dry ingredients together in a mixing bowl.
2. Mix together with a large spoon until evenly incorporated.
3. Set bowl aside.
4. Combine all wet ingredients (except Sour Cream) in a separate mixing bowl.
5. Mix all the ingredients in the bowl together with a whisk.
6. Whisk until the ingredients are completely incorporated.
7. Combine the Wet and Dry batter together.
8. Mix together until you get a semi-thick smooth consistency.
9. Add Sour Cream and mix until you get a smooth consistency.

Norwegian Sour Cream Waffles
Waffles are eaten at any time of day in Norway, and with a variety of toppings. They're sweeter and smaller than American style waffles, and are almost always made from scratch. Norwegian Sour Cream Waffles (Vafler)
Mix: 6 eggs
½ cup sugar
1 tsp ground cardamom
1 tsp cinnamon
Add: 1 ½ cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
Dash of salt
Stir in: ½ cup melted butter
1 cup sour cream
Let it sit for 20-30 minutes
Fry in a Norwegian heart-shaped waffle iron
It’s a shallower iron than most American waffle irons
Top with:
Butter & syrup
Jam
Whipped cream
Sour cream
Cheese, especially “brunost” or brown cheese, such as geitost or caramore
