How To make Smoke At Home Brisket
- MARY WILSON (BWVB02B) Mesquite chips or chunks 1 Beef brisket (5 to 6 lbs.)
2 ts Salt
1 1/2 ts Freshly ground pepper
Soak chips in water 4 hours. Prepare charcoal or oakwood fire in smoker; let burn 1 hour or until flames disappear. Drain chips, and place on coals. Place water pan in smoker; add water to pan to depth of fill line. Sprinkle brisket with salt and pepper; place on food rack. Cover with smoker lid. Cook 8 to 9 hours or until thermometer inserted in thickest portion of meat registers 180 degree. servings. Source: Southern Living, September 1995 and Kevin Jones, pit cook for the County Line (On the Lake) in Austin. He says the secret to good brisket is slow cooking.

TEXAS STYLE Smoked Brisket in an Electric Smoker (Masterbuilt Smoker Recipe)
Texas Style Smoked Brisket on Electric Smoker
Today I've made a Texas style brisket in a electric smoker since Im from Texas you should've expected me to make brisket at some point int time on this channel so today I delivered, hope you enjoy this brisket and try to make some yourself or for the next family reunion.
Ingredients
----------------
16 Lbs Brisket
Bottle of Apple Juice
Seasonings
- 3 1/2 Tbsp (52ml) of Black coarse pepper
- 2 1/2 Tbsp (37ml) of Salt
- 1 Tbsp (15ml) of Creole Seasonings
- 1 Tbsp (15ml) of Onion Powder/ Garlic Salt
Total smoking time = 11hrs 20min
Smoke point one
Smoke for a total of 4hrs 30mins and spray constantly at a temp of 245
fahrenheit.
Smoke point two
Smoke for 3 hrs and 6 mins at 250 (until desired color and smoke).
Smoke point 3
- Wrap in butcher paper and cook at 260 until a internal temp of 200 fahrenheit.
