BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS - Welcome to Boston, a beautiful and historic city in New England with a vibrant Italian influence. Today we’re going on an Italian food tour of Boston, we’ll be checking out the North End and East Boston around the airport. Get ready for a huge chicken parm sub, pizza, and one of the USA’s greatest Italian meals!
Dino's Cafe ( - We started this tour in Boston’s north end, one of the great Italian American neighborhoods in the United States. It’s a great place to walk around, and enjoy the narrow streets and delicious food. We ate at a place called Dino’s Cafe, a wonderful spot offering home style Italian food and especially a variety of Italian style sandwiches. I specifically came to eat the massive fried chicken parmesan sub including fresh breaded deep fried cutlets, cheese, and marinara sauce. It was made fresh, and one of the best versions I’ve ever had - and on top of that, it’s huge! Price - $14
Rino's Place ( - Next up on this Italian food tour of Boston, we headed to Rino's Place, without a doubt one of the great Italian restaurants in the United States. It’s been praised by Guy Fieri, and I can tell you that it’s one of those places where no matter what you order off the menu, it’s going to be outstanding. Along with amazing food, the owner and all staff are fantastic. I ordered the signature lobster ravioli, plus a plate of amazing spaghetti (I can say it’s one of the best plates of spaghetti I’ve had in my life) and finally a plate of veal marsala with pasta. Again, all three dishes were top of the notch, absolutely amazing.
Total price - $99.51
Santarpio's Pizza ( - Finally to end this Italian food tour in Boston, I met up with my friend Jeffrey Merrihue ( to eat a few pizzas at the legendary Santarpio's Pizza, which is one of the best pizzas in Boston. Along with pizza, they are known for their kebabs, which they grill over fire at the front of the restaurant - is there anything better than kebabs before pizza? We ordered the sausage and garlic pizza, and it was delicious.
Boston is a fantastic city, and I loved eating all of this incredible Italian food when I was there.

Pizza & More
Pizza & More
Craving pizza? You're in luck: a new business has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at Gulshan, the newcomer is called Pizza & More. Locally owned by Sayed Sarwar, Pizza & More is a pizzeria in a beautiful setting. Sayed said, “Our mission is to deliver the most authentic Italian cuisine in town. Our pizzas are made fresh for you every day. So stop by, say Hi, and grab a bite.”
They do serve a full menu highlighting Italian dishes like gourmet pizzas, panini, salads, hot oven cavatelli, appetizers and a lot more! I tried a variety of appetizers, gradually leading to finger licking starters, ravishing main course and gluttonous desserts.
To begin, picked up Eggplant Bruschetta (BDT 250), Caramelized Onions Bruschetta (BDT 250), Fresh Tomato Bruschetta (BDT 250). Among all these three, Tomato Bruschetta featuring ripe red tomatoes, basil and garlic on golden, toasted French bread tastes best. The Sicilian cheese-filled rice balls, Arancini (BDT 400) filled with ground beef tastes great.
The crisp and soft, toothsome and gooey, crunchy and cheesy Tuna Panini (BDT 650) tastes amazingly delicious. Among Pizzas, Ortolana (BDT 600) is a vegetarian delight. It is smeared with tomato sauce, topped with mozzarella and grilled slices of eggplant and capsicum, then baked. Sea Food Pizza (BDT 1000) is a tasty treat with shrimp, squid and white fish marinated in their special seasonings, topped with mozzarella cheese.
Pizza Spinach & Shrimp (BDT 800) and Margherita (BDT 550) are also mention worthy. Pizza & More also offer customizable pizzas so you can get exactly what you're craving.
For Mains, Lasagna al Pesto (BDT 600) is very much hearty and fulfilling. It is the combination of two great Italian recipes- lasagne and pesto sauce. The pesto offers freshness while the creamy béchamel sauce combined with the silky pasta makes this real comfort food. It is guaranteed to be loved by young and old alike and is vegetarian.
I was so full but, there is always room for desserts. Picked up their marvelous Tiramisu (BDT 300) that is made authentically in the Italian way, with espresso soaked ladyfingers layered with a light and airy mascarpone cream, and dusted with cocoa powder to finish. Pinacolada (BDT 225) was also refreshing as well.
So, if you're looking for amazing special pizzas that are loaded with ingredients, look no further. There are plenty of other options, too. No matter what you're in the mood for, you'll enjoy the great food. Whether you come in for a carryout or get a pizza delivery, you're guaranteed fast and friendly service at Pizza & More.

This segment is for those who have a passion for cooking but aren't always the best at it. Whenever I watch shows on TV of cooking, I almost beat myself up when things don't go as well in real life as they do on the shows. I don't know everything about cooking, and I'm certainly not perfect at it. So you should feel happy if you do better than me or even do the same.
