Clean Drinking: Shirley Temple
The exact source of this drink is a bit of a mystery and even Shirley Temple herself didn't exactly know. One story was that it was created by the bartender at the restaurant Chasens at her tenth birthday party. Another was that Ms. Temple and her parents were dining at the Brown Derby restaurant in Hollywood and she was whining that they were drinking Old Fashioneds so the bartender mixed her up a cocktail of her own. The Royal Hawaiian Hotel has also claimed their bartenders came up with the drink. However it came about, it is one of the most iconic drinks in history, definitely the most famous of the mocktails In this episode I mix up an alternate version of the drink for all of you who don't drink or want to take a break. Enjoy!
