How To make Rose's Cinnamon Rolls
1/2 Recipe basic sweet dough
-(recipe follows) 1/4 c Melted sweet butter
1 tb Cinnamon
1/2 c Sugar
Servings: one dozen rolls Make basic sweet dough. Grease a baking sheet. Roll the dough into arectangular sheet 1/2" thick. Sprinkle liberally with melted butter, cinnamon and sugar. Roll tightly like a jelly roll and cut into 1" thick slices. Place about 1" apart on baking sheet. Let rise for 1 hour and bake in 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes. Remove from oven - cool and ice with
powdered sugar glaze. BASIC SWEET DOUGH (makes enough for two dozen cinnamon rolls) 1 qt milk 3 oz yeast (6 small squares) 2 cups sugar
14 cups all purpose flour 1 tb salt 1 lb sweet butter
12 egg yolks
Scald milk and cool to lukewarm. Add yeast, 1 c. sugar and 2 c flour. This is your sponge. Let it rise about 30 minutes. In a large bowl, sift in the rest of the flour, salt and remaining sugar. With your fingertips, work butter into the dry ingredients, then add yolks and the yeast sponge. Stir, then work with your hands until quite thick. Knead the dough on a board sprinkled with flour until it becomes smooth and elastic. You may have to add more flour to make for easier handling. Cover and let rise about 1 - 1 /2 hours. Punch down and knead again for a few minutes. Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes. POWDERED SUGAR GLAZE 2 cups powdered sugar 1 tsp vanilla 1/4 cups hot

From the basic recipe, you can make your own version by changing the filling and the topping. Cinnamon rolls are easy favorites because they go well with coffee and great for snacks when you need that sugar rush!

Ingredients for making quick and easy cinnamon rolls
To make the bread dough
All purpose flour/Bread flour:
Milk (If you don’t want to add milk, you can use plain water instead).
Unsalted Butter (softened)
Egg(at Room Temperature)
Sugar
Salt
Yeast (instant /active dried yeast)
For the filling
Soft Brown sugar (packed cup)
Unsalted Butter(softened)
Cinnamon powder
For the Cream Cheese Frosting
Cream cheese
Unsalted butter
Powdered Sugar
Vanilla powder
A pinch of salt to balance the sweetness
If you want more thinner frosting, you can add 1-2 tbsp milk into it

How to make a Cinnamon Roll Apple Rose Tart for Thanksgiving
Community Journalist Miguel Amaya bakes a Cinnamon Roll Apple Rose Tart for your next holiday gathering!

Ingredients
3 Apples
1 Can Cinnamon roll dough
2 TBSP Lemon Juice
4 TBSP Unsalted Butter
4 TBSP Brown Sugar
Powdered sugar for serving
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
2. Open the can of cinnamon rolls and arrange them into a spiral.
3. Slice the apples into thin slices.
4. To prevent the apples from browning, add the slices into a bowl, and pour the lemon juice until it is all mixed.
5. Mix the brown sugar and melted butter and stir the mix with the apples until they are fully coated.
6. Microwave the apples for 2 minutes and make sure to strain out any leftover liquid. Let the apples cool for 5 minutes.
7. Roll the slices together to make a rose and place it in the middle of the cinnamon dough spiral and continue to fill in the gaps between the cinnamon rolls with the apple slices.
8. When complete, bake the tart for 20 minutes until the dough is browning.
Once the tart is fully baked, dust it with powdered sugar and enjoy!
