Cherry Bread with Cherry Glaze!
Ingredients:
3/4 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla or almond extract
2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2- 10 oz. jars of maraschino cherries in red syrup
Cherry Glaze:
2 tbsp butter, melted
2 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup red syrup from the cherries
1/2 tsp vanilla or almond extract
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9x5 bread loaf pan with cooking spray.
2. In a medium bowl, stir together the sugar, milk, oil, egg, and extract with an electric mixer until combined.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
4. Slowly add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients mixing until combined.
5. Drain the maraschino cherries and remove the stems. (Be sure to reserve 1/3 cup for the glaze!)
6. Chop the cherries up with a knife or in a food processor.
7. Gently fold the chopped up cherries into the batter and pour it into the prepared loaf pan.
8. Bake 50-55 minutes.
9. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a cooling rack to cool completely.
10. Make the cherry glaze by combining the melted butter, powdered sugar, cherry juice, and extract. (You can add more powdered sugar if it isn't thick enough for you. Mine was too thin!)
11. Pour or spoon the glaze on top of the bread and enjoy!!!

CHERRY COFFEE CAKE (New Recipe not in our Cookbooks)
1/4 CUP BUTTER OR MARGARINE (ROOM TEMP.)
1 PKG. WHITE CAKE MIX
1 PACKET 1/4 OZ. EACH DRY YEAST
1 CUP ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR, (WHITE LILY)
2 EGGS
1 CAN (1 LB. 5 OZ.) CHERRY PIE FILLING
2 TBSP. SUGAR
8 OZ. CREAM CHEESE (CUBED) IS OPTIONAL
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. If using
convection set temperature at 350 degrees.
In a medium mixing bowl, reserve 1/2 cup dry
cake mix. In a large bowl add remaining cake
mix with yeast, flour, eggs, and 2/3 cup warm
water. Mix until blended well with a dough
whisk or spoon. Spread dough in a greased 13
x 9 x 2-inch baking pan; set aside. In a bowl
blend reserved cake mix with butter & sugar to
make streusel topping. Mixture will be
crumbly. Set it aside. Spoon pie filling evenly
over dough in pan. Place cubed cream cheese
on top of cake if desired (optional).
Sprinkle streusel topping over filling. Bake
immediately at 375 degrees.
for 30 minutes. If desired, frost with glaze.

1 C. CONFECTIONERS SUGAR (SIFT IF LUMPY)
1 TBSP. CORN SYRUP
1 TBSP. WATER

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups cherries, fresh or canned
1/2 cup sliced almonds
For Almond Glaze:
1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
1 to 2 tbsp cream
1/4 tsp almond extract

1 1/2 cups (225g) flour
2 tsp (8g) baking powder
3/4 tsp. (2g) salt
3/4 tsp. (2g) vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. Almond extract
1 cup (200g) sugar
1 cup (150g) frozen cherries cut in quarters
2 tbsp. lemon zest
1/2 cup (150g) sour cream
2 eggs
1/2 cup (90g) vegetable oil
2 tbsp. (14g) all purpose flour
Icing
2 cups (200g) powdered sugar
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. (1.5g) vanilla extract

260 g flour

3 tbsp slivered almonds
60 g chocolate shavings
3 tbsp pistachios
Bundt cake pan
21 cm (8.3 inch)
Bake 40-45 min
175°C (347°F)
