Roll out Basic Puff Pastry to 3/8-inch thickness on a lightly floured surface. Cut pastry with a 3-inch cutter, cutting rounds as close together as possible to reduce scraps. Place rounds on an ungreased baking sheet. Using a 2-inch cutter, make an indentation about 1/4-inch through
center of pastry rounds, and lightly brush tops with beaten egg. Freeze 10 minutes. Preheat oven to 450 degrees; place pastry in oven. Reduce temperature to 400 degrees, and bake 20 to 25 minutes or until puffed and golden brown. Remove to wire rack to cool. Remove centers of patty -----

Puff pastry shells with Christmas salad: how to make a beautiful and delicious appetizer!
INGREDIENTS
2 sheets puff pastry
200g (1 cup) imitation crab, chopped
9 hard-boiled quail eggs, peeled
200g (1 ¼ cup) canned corn, drained
1 medium cucumber, chopped
120g (½ cup) mayonnaise
3 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
Egg wash
METHOD
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F.
2. Cut puff pastry into circles using a cookie cutter with a wavy edge. Cut the bottom part of each circle, flatten it out slightly and score lines on the top of the pastry imitating the lines on the shell.
3. Brush each pastry shell with egg wash and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden and puffy. Let cool down, make a slit and open a shell.
4. In a medium bowl combine chicken eggs, crab, corn, cucumber, and mayonnaise. Mix to combine.
5. Fill each shell with the salad and decorate using a quail egg as a pearl.

Used for main course or appetizers or dessert. This demonstration only shows 2 simple pastry shells done without the proper tools. Pastry Chefs and cooks would never use this item. I would use the boat to serve my shrimp newburg.
Creamed Chicken on Puff Pastry
A classy luncheon or supper dish. I used canned chicken for this recipe, but home-cooked chicken (or canned tuna, crab, or even lobster) will work as well. Thank you for watching! Ingredients are listed below.
Creamed Chicken on Puff Pastry
Puff pastry shells*
2 tablespoons butter
1-2 tablespoons diced onion
2 tablespoons flour
2 cups half-and-half (or milk, or stock)
Salt and pepper to taste
Garlic powder to taste
Onion powder to taste
1/2 to 1 teaspoon dried tarragon leaves
1 bag (about 3 cups) frozen peas and carrots, thawed and cooked
1 (10-ounce) can chicken breast meat
Garnish: Fresh, minced parsley
*Feel free to use puff pastry sheets instead of the little shells. Cut the sheets into 4 squares or 6 rectangles. After baking, split the pieces horizontally in half. Spoon the creamed chicken mixture onto one half, and place the other half on top.
