Ingredients:
4 cups of white flour = 400 grams
1/2 teaspoon of salt
A tablespoon of sugar
4 tablespoons of corn flour
Two tablespoons of powdered milk ( 40 grams)
1/2 teaspoon of liquid vanilla or 7 grams of vanilla sugar
1 teaspoon of baking powder = 8 gr
1 tablespoon of dried yeast = 10 grams
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 cups of warm water = 450 ml

syrup Ingredients:
4 cups sugar = 600 grams
Two glasses of water = 300ml
A tablespoon of lemon juice
1 small piece of lemon

Follow this step by step video to make delicious Southern style candied yams or sweet potatoes the simple & EASY WAY. This recipe literally has about 4 ingredients and is not complicated at all.. I make this all the time for Sunday dinner or big holiday gatherings and they are always a hit!! They're cooked in the oven so you have time to set them and prep, cook or tend to other things. & it's done in less than 40 minutes. Make them, try them, share them.. ENJOY !!!!


Here's what you'll need:
4-5 Large sweet potatoes (or about 3lbs)
1 cup Brown sugar (light or dark)
2-3 TBSP Cinnamon sugar
1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
Butter ( yes.. I use vegetable spread or the tub of butter.. but of course you can be fancy & use REAL Butter if that makes you feel better ;)

**For the sugar use as much or as little as you desire** its all based on preference
