Pecan Crescent Cookies
1/2 pound unsalted butter - room temperature 6 T. powdered sugar + more for rolling 2 c. all-purpose flour 2 c. pecans - finely chopped 1 t. vanilla
Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
Place butter in the bowl of a standing mixer. Using the padle attachment, beat butter on high for about 30 seconds until creamy. Add the powdered sugar and beat on medium-high until butter is a pale ivory color and has a fluffy consistency. Add vanilla and beat until combined.
Add flour a little bit at a time, beating on low speed until just blended. Add pecans and mix on low speed until just combined.
Using floured hands (so dough doesn't stick to ya') shape heaping tablespoon size pieces of dough into cute little crescents. Place on a cookie sheet.
Bake for one hour. Remove from oven and let cookies cool until you can handle them. Roll warm cookies in powdered sugar. Allow cookies to then cool completely before storing them in an airtight container.

Maple Pecan Crescent Roll Rings EASY RECIPE
These Maple Pecan Crescent Rings are so good with a cup of coffee. They are lightly sweetened with brown sugar and a maple glaze.
Maple Pecan Crescent Rings
2 tubes Crescent Roll Dough 1 1/2 Cups Finely Chopped Pecans 1/4 Cup plus 2 tablespoons Half & Half or Milk 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 3 tablespoons brown sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon pinch of salt
Egg Wash 1 egg splash of milk
Glaze 1/3 Cup Powdered Sugar 2-3 tablespoons Maple Syrup
Directions 1. Preheat oven to 375°.
2. Combine all ingredients except crescent roll dough in a saucepan. Let simmer for a couple minutes until sugar has dissolved, stirring constantly.
3. Set the pecan filling aside to cool and prepare the dough. Open can of crescent rolls and lay out on a greased counter or wax paper. Pinch the seams together to form a large rectangle. Do the same with the second can.
4. On one of the rectangles place your filling and spread out evenly.
5. Top with the other rectangle and press down gently. Cut strips about one inch wide. I got 10 strips with 2 cans of crescents. Carefully twist each strip and form it into a circle. Place the ring on a cookie sheet.
6. Prepare an egg wash by whisking one egg with a splash of milk. Brush over the pecan rings.
6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
7. While they bake prepare the glaze by combining the powdered sugar and maple syrup.
8. Once they are baked, drizzle the glaze on top and eat!!!
