1/2 c Butter or oleo 1/2 c Brown sugar 1 1/3 c Sifted flour 2/3 c Sugar 2/3 c Light corn syrup 1 6 oz pkg butterscotch pieces 1/2 c Chunk-styled peanut butter 2 c Corn flakes Cream oleo or butter and brown sugar. Stir in flour (mixture will be crunchy..will have to use your hands. Press in ungreased 13x9x2 in. baking pan. Bake in 350?F oven for 15 minutes. In saucepan, combine sugar and corn syrup; heat to boiling. Remove from heat. Add butterscotch pieces and peanut butter; stir till chips are melted, Stir in corn flakes. Spread over baked layer. Cool; cut into squares.

How to make a chewy and moist Butterscotch bars.
Here's what you'll need: 1 and ½ cup brown sugar (300g) 3/4 cup unsalted butter (170g) 2 eggs 3 tbsps corn syrup or glucose (45g) 1 tsp vanilla extract (5ml) 2 cups all purpose flour (250g) 1 tsp baking powder (4g) 1 tsp salt (4g) 1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts (60g)
1. Preheat oven at 180°C or 350°F. 2. In a pan, cook together brown sugar and unsalted butter. Keep mixing until the mixture starts to boil. 3. When it's boiling, remove from heat. Transfer to a bowl to cool down for at least 10 minutes. 4. When it's cooled. Beat on high to loosen the mixture. 5. Then add 2 eggs one at a time. 6. Beat on high until light and fluffy for 2 minutes. 7. Add corn syrup or glucose and vanilla. Mix. 8. Sift-in together all purpose flour, baking powder and salt. Mix until combined. 9. Fold in coarsely chopped walnuts. 10. Grease a 10x8 inches pan and line with parchment paper. 11. Place the batter. 12. Bake in a preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean when inserted. 13. Cool down completely. 14. Cut according to your preferred size. 15. Serve and enjoy! 16.
