Beef BBQ on Bamboo Stick Recipe (Filipino Style)

INGREDIENTS
2 lbs beef chopped
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 can 7 up
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 small lemon
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Combine beef, soy sauce, 7 up, brown sugar, garlic powder, ground black pepper, and lemon juice in a large bowl. Mix these ingredients thoroughly.
2. Marinate beef for at least 1 hour or longer, overnight is fine.
3. Skewer beef on a bamboo stick.
4. Make basting sauce by combining banana ketchup, rice vinegar, and olive oil on a separate bowl.
5. Preheat the grill for 5 minutes using medium high heat.
6. Put beef on the grill. Flip every 3 minutes and baste barbecue sauce occasionally to keep the beef moist.
7. Barbecue is ready when beef starts to sizzle and the sauce caramelized.

1 brown onion, finely diced
1 handful chopped mint (or parsley)
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp red sumac
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp sweet paprika
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cardamom
2-3 crushed garlic cloves
1 tbsp olive oil

Chinese Grilled Beef Skewers (Asian Style Cooking Recipe)
Welcome to my Asian kitchen. My name is Xiao Wei and my goal is to make your cooking simple and exciting. Ever since my Mother showed me how to cook at an early age, I have always had a strong passion for cooking. My family still live in Inner Mongolia in the northern part of China, where I visit each year and learn new Chinese recipes.
There are 3 ways of cooking this dish – BBQ, deep fried and grilled. Of course, grilling is a much healthier way!
Ingredients:
500g beef
1 onion
6 cloves garlic
3 Tablespoons white vinegar
4 Tablespoons sugar
2 Tablespoons coarse black pepper
20 wooden or metal skewers
Salt to taste
Methods:
1. Slice onion thinly.
2. Slice beef into thin slices and place into a mixing bowl.
3. Add onion, black pepper, sugar, vinegar, salt and 2 Tbsp oil into the bowl.
4. Mix all ingredients together
5. Cover and leave in the fridge for 3- 4 hours.
6. Preheat the grill to high
7. Thread the beef onto the skewers one piece at the time.
8. Place skewers under the grill and cook for 2 minutes each side.
9. Place onto a dish and serve.
