INGRIDIENTS:
Tomato 1
Onion 1
Garlic clove 1
Tomato paste 1/4 cup
Salt to taste
Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
Chili flakes 1 tsp
cumin 1 tsp
Chaat masala 1 tsp
Spaghetti
Oil 3 tbsp
Hot sauce 2 tbsp
Water as required
Cheese and Black pepper (optional)

This recipe is from the 1941 Boston Edison Company Home Service Division; providing recipes that you could cook using electric ranges and electric refrigerators.
Skillet Meal
Italian Meat Balls & Spaghetti
½ lb ground beef
½ lb ground veal
½ cup bread crumbs in ½ cup hot milk
Salt and pepper
1 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp grated onion
Clove of garlic if desired
Combine ingredients & form into small meat balls. In skillet, on large surface unit of electric range, melt 4 Tbsp fat. Brown meat in fat. Add 1 onion diced. 1 green pepper, sliced& 1 cup chopped celery. Cook on high heat for 5 min. Add 3 cups tomatoes, 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce & on top ½ box uncooked spaghetti. Use fork to immerse spaghetti in liquid. Cover and bring to boiling point on high & turn to low to finish. Turn out on large platter. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve.

This is Depression era cooking at its finest!
Ingredients:
½ cup chopped bacon
1 chopped onion
1 chopped green pepper
½ pound spaghetti
1 cup boiling water
½ tsp salt
2 cups tomato
1 tablespoon Lea & Perrins Sauce
Method:
Fry the bacon onion and green pepper together until slightly browned.
Add the uncooked spaghetti, one cup of boiling water, the salt and the tomato.
Cover and simmer about 20 minutes or until the spaghetti is tender, stirring frequently with a fork and adding a little water if necessary.
Add the Lea & Perrins Sauce and serve immediately.
