Kolaczki cookies are a traditional Polish cream cheese cookie. The cookie dough almost mimics a pastry and is filled with a variety of fillings such as apricot, prune, cherry, almond, poppy seed, and more!
I had never tasted or even heard of a kolaczki cookie until I met my husband. Every holiday season his mother makes these traditional polish cream cheese cookies and they are divine. His family is not Polish themselves, but his parents grew up on the south side of Chicago and these cookies were popular in the area.
In researching this cookie I learned that there are many different spellings including kolaczki, kolachky, kolachy, and kolacky. But however you spell it, the cookie starts with a cream cheese dough that is rolled out and filled with all kinds of fillings.
WHY THESE COOKIES ARE ONE OF MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY COOKIES…
The dough requires very few ingredients
They taste like a fancy pastry, but are much easier to make!
One batch makes a lot of cookies- perfect for sharing or putting in a cookie tin!
The assembly process is best done with a crowd! Make them with kids or other friends and family!

Amazing apricot jam cookies
Hello friends, welcome to my channel! Today I would like to present you a video recipe for delicious curly samosas. Look how ruddy and cute they are! Soft inside, glossy outside they are really appealing! These samosas are quick and easy to make and the result will not leave you indifferent!
I put one egg, 60 gr of homemade heavy cream, 60 gr of butter, 3 gr of salt, 10 gr of sugar and 7 gr of baking powder. I stir everything so that the ingredients come together. Now pour in 250ml of warm water and stir. I add 600g of sifted wheat flour and knead the dough. The dough is dense and elastic. I cover the dough with clingfilm and leave it to rest for 20 minutes. During this time we make the stuffing. I'll chop 250 gr of onions and add them to 500 gr of minced beef. I add salt, ground black pepper and ground cumin to taste. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly.
Now work with the dough. I divide the dough into 50g small balls. Let the balls rest for five minutes under the cling film so that they do not get too light and roll out well. Then, using a rolling pin, roll out each ball to form an oval, put two tablespoons of filling on the dough, and wrap it into a tube. Then roll up the tube into a snail shape. I brush the dough pieces with egg and send them to the oven to bake for 30-35 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
Our snails are ready! They are very quick and easy to make, in a hurry. And how beautiful and appetizing they are! Cook these curls, you'll love them. Beautiful and hearty homemade baked goods will not leave you indifferent! Thank you for spending this time with me. Thanks for watching!
