How To make Oatmeal Raisin Drops
1/2 c Plus 1 tb flour
3 3/4 oz Quick-cooking oats; uncooked
1/2 ts Double-acting baking powder
1/2 ts Baking soda
1/4 ts Ground cinnamon
Sweetener = to 1/4-cup Firmly packed brown sugar 1/4 c Plus 1 tbs + 1tsp reduced
Calorie margarine 1 Egg
1 ts Vanilla extract
2 tb Water
1/2 c Raisins
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a medium bowl, combine flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and sweetener. Add margarine. Mix well with a fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Beat egg with vanilla and water. Stir into dry ingredients. Add raisins and stir until all ingredients are moistened. Drop mixture by teaspoonfuls onto a nonstick cookie sheet, making 32 cookies. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, until lightly browned. Remove to a rack to cook. Makes 8 servings; each serving = 4 cookies. Each serving gives: 1 Bread, 1 Fat, 1/2 Fruit, 6 additional calories (add 24 calories if brown sugar is actually used as the sweetener). -----

Thin Crispy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies spread thin when they bake. They are crispy and delicious.
???????????????? Ingredients:
???? ¾ cup unsalted butter
???? 1 ⅓ cup brown sugar
???? 2 eggs
???? 1 tsp vanilla extract
???? 1 cup sifted flour
???? ¾ tsp baking soda
???? ½ tsp salt
???? ¼ tsp nutmeg
???? 1 tsp cinnamon
???? 2 cups rolled oats
???? 1 cup raisins
???? ½ cup toasted walnuts
Sift together all-purpose flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg into a bowl.
In a mixing bowl attached with paddle cream together unsalted butter, sugar until smooth and light for 2 minutes. Add eggs and vanilla and beat for 1 more minute. Stop the mixer and scrape the bowl.
Add flour mixture to the wet ingredients and beat on low speed until just combined.
Stir in oats, raisins and walnuts. Use a spatula to finish mixing by hand.
Using an ice cream scoop drop 1 Tbsp balls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet or greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350°F for 12 to 15 minutes.
Allow the cookies to sit on a baking sheet for 15 minutes.
Transfer the cookies onto a cooling rack to cool completely or serve warm.

Oatmeal raisin cookies are one of my favorite cookies – but it turns out my friends are raisin haters. So I did what any sensible person would do and made the wheel of mix-ins.
I made this oatmeal cookie recipe to work as a classic, brown butter oatmeal raisin cookie, but you can adapt it to the flavors you find comforting and nostalgic.
