5 Eggs, separated
3/4 ts Cream of tartar
1 1/2 c Sugar
1/2 c Water
1 ts Vanilla
1 1/2 c Flour
1 ts Baking powder
2 c Whipping cream
Strawberries, optional In a bowl beat egg whites until foamy. Add cream of tartar and beat until stiff peaks form. Gradually beat in sugar. Set aside. Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored. Stir in water and vanilla. Sift flour twice with baking powder. Stir flour into egg-yolk mixture by hand, until thoroughly combined. Fold in egg-white mixture. Pour mixture into 2 (8-inch) round parchment-lined cake pans and bake at 350 degrees about 30 to 40 minutes, or until wood pick inserted in center comes out dry. When cool, divide each cake into 2 layers. Whip cream. Save enough whipped cream to decorate outside of cake. Add crushed strawberries with juice to rest of whipped cream. Then spread on top of layers. Each serving contains about: 382 calories; 108 mg sodium; 172 mg cholesterol; 20 grams fat; 45 grams carbohydrates; 6 grams protein; 0.05 gram fiber. Recipe:
5 eggs
125 g sugar
125 g white flour
1/2 ts baking soda
Bake in the middel of the oven at 170 degree C or 338 fahrenheit for 40 -50 min.
Fill and decoration:
5-10 dl Whipping cream
4-5 dl custard cream
Berries, fruit or what ever you would like to fill the cake with.

Norwegian Cream Cake ( Bløtkake ) is a typical birthday cake. Along with Kvæfjordkake, it’s also typically seen at confirmations, 17th of May celebrations, and other special occasions in Norway.
Ingredients ;
Kakebunn ( ready-made cake base ) or homemade bake cake
Fresh fruits ( strawberries, mango, banana, blueberries, pineapple & kiwi )
1 cup Raspberry jam
13 cup Pineapple juice
3 cups Vanilla sauce
3 cups Whipped cream
1 cup chopped Dark milk chocolate

Norwegian Cream Cake Recipe:
[½ cup = 1 dl (deciliter)
¼ cup = ½ dl
½ cup Flour = 60g / 1 dl]
For the cake...
6 Eggs
1½ cup Granulated Sugar
1½ cup All-purpose Flour
½ cup Cornstarch or Potato Flour
3 tsp Baking Powder
1 tbsp Vanilla Sugar
½ cup Hot Water
Bake at 160 degress celcius for 50-60 minutes at the bottom rack of the oven
For the toppings...
3 cups Whipping Cream
2 tbsp Confectioner Sugar
¾ cup Pineapple chunks
3 pcs Kiwi
1 cup Raspberry (i usually put strawberry)
5 tbsp Pineapple juice
3 tbsp Strawberry jam

#Hvordan Lage Bløtkake
Ingredienser:
til kaken ...(sukkerbrød)
6 stk egg
3 dl sukker
3 dl hvetemel
1 dl potetmel
3 ts bakepulver
1 ss vaniljesukker
1 dl lunkent vann
til pynt ...
6 dl Kremfløte
2 ss Melis
1¼ dl Ananasbiter
3 stk Kiwi
2 dl Bringebær (jeg vanligvis bruker jordbær)
5 ss Ananasjuice
3 ss Jordbærsyltetøy
Fremgangsmåten:
- Sikt mel, potetmel, bakepulver og vaniljesukker.
- Legg eggene i en bolle og tilsett sukkeret. Lag eggedosis av det.
- I mellomtiden, forbered bake formen ved å legge et bakepapir slik det blir lettere å ta kaken ut av formen når kaken er stekt.
- Tilsett melet litt etter litt.
- Kok vann, ta litt kaldt så blir det lunkent og hel 1 dl til kakerøren forsiktig mens du fortsetter å røre med en håndmikser.
- Til slutt, bland alt sammen godt med en bakespade.
- Stek kaken i 160 grader forvarmet ovn nederst i rille for 50 til 60 minutter.
- Avkjøl kaken fullstendig før du legger kremen og pynter.
- Visp 6 dl kremfløte og bland med ca. 2 ss melis.
- Mos 1 kiwi og bland i sammen ca. 1 dl vispet krem og 3 ss jordbær syltetøy.
- Fordel blandingen i to, en del til den første lag og en til den andre lag.
- Før du påfører blandingen og den vispet kremen må du dynke kaken med ananas juicen som kommer fra den ananas boksen.
- Til slutt skal du dekke hele kaken og pynte den med ananas i biter, bringebær eller jordbær og kiwi som du skjærte i skiver på forhånd. Det kan du pynte selvfølgelig med hva som helst du liker eller foretrekker.
- Det er best at kaken må ligge i kjøleskapet i hele natten og spise den dagen etterpå.
- Nytt kaken med en kopp te eller kaffe!
Norwegian Cream Cake or Bløtkake på norsk is a moist cake with huge amount of whipped cream with fruits or berries. It can be called Fruit Cream Cake. It is usually prepared in Norway in 17th of May, birthdays, confirmations and other celebrations. It is decorated with either strawberries, blueberries and raspberries or kiwi, strawberries and pineapple chunks. And of course it cannot be called cream cake or bløtkake without the cream...it should have a lot of whipped cream! This is a kind of cake recipe which is very easy to make once you have learned how.
