NOUGAT CANDY made in the microwave!! An excellent homemade edible Christmas gift for the NOUGAT CANDY lover!! Recipe below...
NOUGAT CANDY
Line a 13X9 baking dish with parchment paper. Set aside.
10 cups (16 ounces) mini marshmallows
2 & 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
2 tablespoons salted or unsalted butter
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract or substitute with orange extract
2 cups Dots candy or substitute with Gumdrops, Jujubes, nuts, or dried fruit
1. Add marshmallow, white chocolate chips, and butter into a large microwave safe bowl. Microwave on defrost, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted and smooth.
2. Immediately stir in Dots and vanilla extract. Stir until well blended.
3. Immediately pour into parchment lined dish.
4. Place uncovered candy in the refrigerator for one hour. Wrap airtight with plastic wrap. Refrigerate overnight.
5. Remove from baking pan. Using a chefs knife cut into desirable squares or shapes.
TIPS: Wrap individual NOUGAT pieces in parchment paper to keep candy from sticking together. Store in airtight containers in the refrigerator up to 2 weeks or freeze up to 6 months.

We live in a very humid area and have never had a problem with this recipe. Sorry for the glitches in the video. I tried to fix them
No Fail Divinity Candy
2 1/3 CUP GRANULATED SUGAR
2/3 CUP WHITE CORN SYRUP
1/2 CUP WATER 2 EGG WHITES
1/4 TSP. SALT
3/4 CUP CHOPPED NUTS OR COCONUT (Optional)
1 TSP. VANILLA
BEAT EGG WHITES & SALT UNTIL STIFF. COMBINE SUGAR, SYRUP, & WATER IN A SAUCEPAN. STIR & COOK OVER MED. HEAT. WHEN IT COMES TO A BOIL, COVER WITH A LID FOR 1 MIN., THEN UNCOVER AND COOK TO A BRITTLE STATE (260 DEGREES). POUR OVER STIFFLY BEATEN EGG WHITES. BEAT UNTIL IT LOSES THE GLOSS THEN ADD VANILLA AND NUTS. MIX UNTIL BLENDED. WHEN IT STARTS TO FIRM UP, SPOON OUT ONTO WAX PAPER.
