How To make Meatballs with Milk Gravy
8 oz Lean ground beef
1/4 Green bell pepper minced
1/4 Onion minced
1/4 c Dry bread crumbs
1/4 c Nonfat yogurt
1 ts Thyme
1 ts Worcestershire sauce
1 c Skim milk
1 ts Beef bouillon
2 tb Sherry
2 tb Flour
Mix together the beef, vegetables, breadcrumbs, yogurt, thyme and worcestershire sauce. Form into meatballs. Cook in a covered skillet over medium flame, turning carefully to brown. Remove meatballs from skillet and set aside. Pour milk into skillet and bring to a boil. Add bouillon and cook until dissolved. Dissolve flour in sherry and add a bit at a time until gravy is thickened. Return meatballs to gravy and cook until heated through. Serve over noodles. Most Swedish meat balls are made with beef or pork, as chicken seems to be a more popular protein, I thought I'd make a chicken version. If you ever enjoyed the IKEA meatballs when shopping for furniture, you will never buy them again after trying this recipe. Best part, you only need one pan, so less dishes to clean. These balls are enhanced with all spice and coated in a mustard and Worcestershire sauce which marries well together. Use a good chicken mince, I always make it my self using chicken thighs. This ensures a better chicken flavour and less dryness.

How to make Swedish Meatballs | Homemade Ikea Meatballs
Juicy flavour-packed meatballs in that classic rich and creamy Swedish meatball sauce.
It makes such a great comforting dinner served with mashed potato and of course some lingonberry jam (although I've got some other suggestions if you can't find it).

Swedish Meatballs Ingredients:
Meatballs:
500 g (1lb)beef mince - ideally 20% fat
250 g (1/2 lb)pork mince
1 onion - finely chopped
1 clove of garlic - minced
4 tbsp panko breadcrumbs
1 medium egg
5 tbsp (75ml) full-fat milk
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp white pepper
¼ tsp allspice
2 tbsp vegetable or olive oil
Sauce:
3 tbsp unsalted butter
3 tbsp plain - all-purpose flour
180 ml (3/4 cup) beef stock
120 ml (1/2 cup) vegetable stock
120 ml (1/2 cup) double (heavy) cream
2 tsp dark soy sauce
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Dijon mustard
¼ tsp salt
To Serve:
Finely chopped fresh parsley
Creamy mashed potato
Lingonberry jam - or redcurrant jelly
Green veg – such as broccoli or green beans
