Perfect CHOCOLATE CHIPS Cookies Recipe/crunchy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside
Chewy Drop cookies || trying a Levain’s cookies recipe
In this crisis, I can only wish you all the best of luck. Please everyone don’t ignore the #blacklivesmatter as it is crazy that in this day and age there is still racial discrimination and much more.We can only do something about it if we bring awareness to it.
This is not my recipe nor do i claim this to be mine. I found this recipe elsewhere on YouTube.
Here’s the link:
Ingredients:
200g cold chopped unsalted butter(salted can be used)
90g white sugar
100g brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp salt(use if using unsalted butter)
1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Dry mixture:
200g all purpose flour
110g cake flour(100g all purpose flour & 10g cornstarch sifted couple of times)
5g cornstarch
3g baking powder
2g baking soda
100g dark chocolate
70g milk chocolate
30g white chocolate(add as much chocolate as desired.this ratio tastes best to me)
100g walnuts (optional)
Notes:
Measure in grams for more accuracy and likeness to the recipe but if you are using cups, fluff the flour with a fork and level it off.
The butter can be salted but unsalted is best as the proportion of salt can be controlled)
It also must be cold to avoid a crumbly texture.
Sift the dry mixture .
Cornstarch is necessary in this recipe to allow the chewy recipe. If you don’t use it, the cookies will still bake but it wont be as chewy.
Cake flour can easily be made at home but be sure to sift it a couple a times to make it airy.
Do not overmix! Overmixing can lead to a crumbly cookie.
Using different varities of chocolate bring more flavours to the cookies. The bitterness of the dark chocolate is balanced out by the sweetness of the milk and white chocolate.I used cut up chocolate instead of using chocolate chips. It makes it have different shapes and i often find that chocolate chips are more expensive.
If the cookies are underbaked, then let them sit in the hot oven for 10 min. That may do the trick otherwise bake it for a couple more miutes. If this still doesn’t work, ask me about it in the comments.
Enjoy with a glass of milk.????
