How To make Kahlua Chocolate Cake

kahlua

shortening

cocoa, unsweetened

brown sugar, light

baking soda
KAHLUA FROSTING:
3
tablespoons
cocoa, unsweetened
3
tablespoons
coffee, hot
3
tablespoons
Kahlua liquer
Directions:
Grease and flour two 9 inch cake pans, set aside.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Beat egg whites untill soft peaks form.
Gradually add sugar, beat until soft peaks form, set aside.
Cream shortening and brown sugar until fluffy.
One at a time add egg yolks, beating well after each. Sift flour, cocoa and baking soda together.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with coffee and Kahlua, beating well with each addition.
Fold egg whites into batter. Pour into pans.
Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until done.
Cool 10 minutes. Turn on wire racks.
Cool completly. Frost.
Kahlua Frosting
In a bowl, cream the butter. Add powdered sugar and cocoa, beat while adding Kahlua. Continue beating and add hot coffee to a thick and smooth consistency.

Chocolate Chip Kahlua Cake
1 box devils food cake mix
1 small box instant pudding
3 eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil
½ cup Kahlua (or you can use chocolate syrup, rum or bourbon)
1 carton 16 oz (regular size) sour cream (can be light)
1 package chocolate chips (you can also use white chocolate chips)
Mix 1st 5 ingredients for 2 or 3 minutes – until well blended. Fold in sour cream and chocolate chips. Pour into a well greased Bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Note, the cake will seem a little wiggly when you take it out. Cool the cake, remove from Bundt pan, then sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Chocolate Kahlua Cake Chew Out Loud
This recipe for rich, decadent Chocolate Kahlua Cake lets you have a truly sensational cake in record time. We love serving this perfect combo of coffee, Kahlua, and chocolate for birthdays and holidays. ❤❤❤

For the Cake:
1 box Super Moist Yellow Cake Mix, about 16 oz
3 oz instant chocolate pudding mix
4 large eggs, room temp
½ cup vegetable oil
¾ cup very strong coffee, decaf is fine
⅔ cup Kahlua
1 cup mini chocolate chips, mini ones melt better
For the Ganache:
9 oz semi sweet chocolate morsels
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 TB Kahlua, or more to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350F with rack on lower middle position. Generously grease a Bundt pan.
In a large bowl, whisk together the dry cake mix and dry pudding mix until combined.
In another bowl, stir together the eggs, oil, coffee, and Kahlua until smooth and well combined.
Using a rubber spatula, gently fold wet ingredients with dry ingredients. Fold in the mini chocolate chips. Transfer to greased Bundt pan, evening out the top.
Bake 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out with a few tender crumbs attached.
Let cool in pan on wire rack to room temp. Cover and let sit at room temp until ready to drizzle and serve.
To Make Ganache: In a heavy pan, bring heavy whipping cream to a boil over medium heat, and immediately remove from heat. Add the chocolate chips and Kahlua, stirring until smooth and melted. Cool slightly until consistency is thickened but pourable. Drizzle over cake.

Kahlua Chocolate Bundt Cake
I really love this really moist cake, and am SHOCKED it calls for anything boxed because it doesn't taste like it!
1 pkg Dark Chocolate Cake Mix
1 (3.9oz) Instant Chocolate Pudding ( I use Chocolate Fudge)
16 oz Sour Cream
3 eggs
1/3 cup Veggie Oil
1/2 cup Kahlua
2 cups Dark Chocolate Chips (or semi sweet if you prefer)
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, grease and flour a 10 inch Bundt Pan. Stir ingredients until well blended but don't over do. In my opinion once the eggs are added if you over beat/stir it can make the cake crumble and/or dry....but blend well. Fold in the Chocolate Chips after all the other ingredients are blended. This batter is THICK, so spoon into the prepared pan. Bake in a preheated oven for 1 hour or until the cake springs back when lightly touched. Cool for 10 minutes then turn over on a wire rack. If you like you can dust with powdered sugar or cocoa powder. This is a killer cake for a box!
