THE BEST BIG FAT COOKIE RECIPE | Levain Bakery style
Need to step up your cookie game? I got you.
Now don't get me wrong... I LOVE my brown-butter cookie recipe. Its my GO-TO recipe. But when I want to make something a little different and a little more special. I like to make these guys:)
Levain Bakery Style Cookies
INGREDIENTS
-1 cup *cold butter (Do not take it out to soften)
-3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
-1/2 cup sugar
-2 eggs
-1 cup cake flour
-1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
-1 teaspoon baking powder
-1 teaspoon baking soda
-1 teaspoon coarse sea salt
-2 cups walnut halves
-1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips (or 2 cups)
HOW TO
Start by taking your butter straight out of the fridge, cut into big cubes, and put right into a stand mixer (hand mixer and large bowl works too.) Add sugars in with the butter. Mix until just combine. Add egg. Mix until just combine. (*as noted in the video, DO NOT over-mix this dough. You will get flat, sad cookies.) Dump the rest of the ingredients right onto of the butter/sugar mixture. Pulse your blender until dough is fully combine. Form into 6oz (3/4) size dough balls. *Its recommended to refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to 2 hours* Or go ahead and bake in a 400 degree oven for 11 minutes.
*You can also make smaller cookies with this recipe! Just form into smaller balls and bake for 9 minutes.

✅Ingredients
• 1 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
• 3/4 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 cup cake flour
• 1¾ cup all purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 3 to 4 cups milk or semi-sweet chocolate chips
✅Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
2️⃣ 00:00:24 - In the bowl of a stand mixer, add butter, brown sugar, and sugar and mix on low using the paddle attachment. Increase to medium and mix until smooth, about 1 minute.
3️⃣ 00:00:50 - Add in the eggs and vanilla extract and beat until just combined, about 30 seconds.
4️⃣ 00:01:09 - Add in cake flour, all purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix until just combined.
5️⃣ 00:01:47 - Pour in the chocolate chips and use a large spoon or rubber spatula to fold in the chocolate chips by hand.
6️⃣ 00:02:07 - Divide the dough into 8 to 10 equal pieces. Use hands to roll into large balls. Place onto prepared baking sheets, 4 per pan.
7️⃣ 00:02:55 - Bake in the 400 degree oven for 11-14 minutes, until tops are golden brown.
8️⃣ 00:03:05 - Let cool on pan 15 minutes before serving warm, or transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Super soft and gooey cookie dough, that’s loaded with chocolate chips! Stuffed with a thicc layer of Nutella ????

All you need is:
200g unsalted butter, softened
250g light brown sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
320g plain flour
1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
200g chocolate chips + some for the top
350g Nutella
Bake 160C (fan) 25-30mins - allow to cool fully in the tin
Tin size: 8” springform pan
