Chinese Style Hot Prawn Salad (My Mom’s Favorite Dish) | Easy Way of Cooking | Simple Recipe
Craving for a sweet and savory seafood recipe? Why not try my Chinese-style hot prawn salad? This is a quick, easy, and delicious recipe for the whole family, in just 5 easy steps. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
Prawns
Salt & Pepper
Sugar
Cornstarch
Oil
Mayonnaise
Condensed Milk
Fruit Cocktail
Juice
Recipe
Step 1 (0:42)
Prepare the prawns by adding salt, pepper, sugar, and cornstarch. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Step 2 (1:30)
Deep fry the marinated prawns until light golden brown. Make sure the oil is very hot. Set aside.
Step 3 (2:40)
Prepare the sauce. In a separate cooking pan, add the mayonnaise, fruit cocktail juice, condensed milk, and sugar. Mix evenly.
Step 4 (3:40)
Add the fruit cocktail to the mixture once little bubbles start to show. Stir regularly.
Step 5 (3:55)
Add the deep-fried shrimp to the sauce. Stir to coat evenly.
Serve on a platter. You may garnish it with cherries.

High Protein Spicy Turkish Chickpea Salad, Nohut Piyazi
Piyaz, usually a name for a salad with beans in Turkish cuisine, is adopted from the Persian word, (फ़ारसी) meaning onions. This version with the chickpeas is called “Nohut Piyazi”, meaning “Piyaz with Chickpeas”.
One of the best things about Nohut Piyazı is its versatility – you can use a variety of vegetables to suit your taste, and it's easy to adjust the recipe to make it spicier or milder. It's also perfect for a light lunch or dinner, or as a side dish to accompany grilled meats or fish.

Ingredients:
• 250 g chickpeas (soaked overnight and cooked)
• Olive oil, ¼ cup, 50 ml, extra 2 tbsp to fry the chickpeas
• 1 onion, thinly sliced into crescents
• 2 garlic cloves, chopped
• 1 red pepper, thinly sliced
• 2 sun dried tomatoes, finely sliced
• 2 tsp paprika powder
• 1/2 tsp ground cumin
• 1/2 tsp chili / red pepper flakes (pul biber)
• 1 tsp ground sumac
• 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
• 1 cup chopped parsley
• 5 - 6 leaves fresh basil
• 2 tsp salt or to taste
Instructions:
1. Soak the chickpeas overnight, drain and cook in simmering water for 1.5 hours until soft
2. Drain and set aside. Alternatively use canned cooked chickpeas
3. In a pan, heat up 2 tbsp oil or olive oil and add the chickpeas.
4. Add 1 tsp salt and 2 tsp paprika, stir and cook for 5 minutes until chickpeas are red and fragrant.
5. Set aside the chickpeas, scrape all the spices from the pan.
6. Chop the onions, garlic, red pepper and the sun dried tomatoes and set aside
7. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat, add the onions and garlic,
8. Stir and cook for 3 - 4 minutes until the onions are slightly soft and the garlics are fragrant
9. Add the chopped red peppers, dried tomatoes and 1/2 tsp salt. Stir and cook for 2 minutes.
10. Turn off the heat, let it cool down and add ½ tsp cumin, ½ tsp chili flakes, 1 tsp sumac
11. Add the mixture over the chickpeas together
12. Mix to combine the spices with the ingredients.
13. Finely chop the parsley and fresh basil and add into the bowl
14. Squeeze 2 tbsp of lemon juice and add into the ingredients.
15. Gently mix the ingredients to combine without bruising the herbs.
16. Serve in a bowl and enjoy with flatbread as a main or serve as a salad / side dish

Very tasty glass noodle salad is well known in Asian countries. There is a variety of such salad recipes – with fried chicken, beef, rice or other glass noodles. Here is a video recipe of glass noodles with vegetables.

✅ Ingredients:
• glass noodles – 7 oz | 200 g
• carrot – 7 oz | 200 g
• bell pepper –7 oz | 200 g
• fresh cucumber – 7 oz | 200 g
• garlic – 3 cloves
• fresh cilantro – 1 oz | 20 g
• soy sauce – 6 tbsp
• vinegar 9% - 3 tbsp
• vegetable oil – 2 tbsp
• sesame oil – 1 tbsp
• sugar – 1 tbsp
• ground coriander – 1 tsp
• red chili flakes – to taste
• sesame seeds – to taste

• carving board
• deep salad bowl
• colander
• bowl
???? Preparation:
1. Pour the glass noodles with boiling water for 7 minutes or cook as indicated on package instruction.
2. Prepare vegetables: grate the carrot with a korean carrot grater, cut the cucumbers and bell pepper into thin strips.
3. In a bowl combine the chopped up garlic, sugar, ground coriander, chili flakes, soy sauce, vinegar, vegetables and sesame oils.
4. Pour away the water and wash the noodles with cold water, drain in a colander.
5. Into a deep salad bowl lay out the glass noodles, grated carrot, cut cucumber and bell pepper, cilantro leaves, sesame seeds and the prepared sauce. Combine well and leave for 1-3 hours.
6. Serve your glass noodles with vegetables sprinkled with sesame seeds, cilantro leaves or chili rings.

Invented by Sylvia Cheng Wu also known as Madame Wu in the 60s and made popular by the original celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck, The Chinese chicken salad has become an obsession in California, especially with celebrities. It's not hard to see why. It's refreshing, it's light, it has incredible texture and crunch, and an Asian-inspired dressing that has all those addicting umami flavors that you could eat with a spoon.
