How To make Honey Basted Turkey
6 lb Turkey
1/2 c Oil
1/2 c Soya sauce
2 tb Honey
1 1/2 ts Ground ginger
1 1/2 ts Dry mustard
2 ea Cloves garlic, minced
Cut turkey into pieces as follows; 2 wings, 2 drumsticks, 2 thighs, 4 breast pieces and 4 back pieces. Combine oil, soya sauce, honey, ginger, mustard and garlic. Marinate turkey in soya mixture 2 hours in refrigerator. Drain turkey pieces, reserving marinade. Place drumsticks, thighs and breast pieces 6 - 8" abouve medium hot coals. Grill for 30 minutes, turning accasionally. Add wings and bakc pieces. Grill another 30 minutes, turning occaisionally. Baste with marinade and grill until turkey is tender about 20 minutes.

In today’s video we are talking Turkey Breast. This is a great option any day of the week, but it’s also great for a Thanksgiving Meal if you are looking for that smaller portion that will WOW your guests!
Cook Temp: 300°
Cook Time: 1 hour 45 Minutes to 2 Hours
Finish Temp: 160°
Glaze:
1 C. Brown Sugar
1/4 C. Honey
2 Tablespoons Mango Pineapple Juice
Heat over medium heat stirring constantly just until the sugar melts
This method of adding the honey glaze gives you a unique flavor that I promise you will absolutely be a hit!!
Now let’s get into the process of how you turn this simple protein into something special.
I started with a skinless boneless turkey breast hit it with a little olive oil to help the rub to stick, plus it helps with building that color that we are looking for. The rub I used was Tailgaters Party Rub, this is a nice savory rub, that works well with the sweet glaze. Once you have your breast seasoned up it goes on the grill at 300° for about 45 minutes, just until the rub is set, then you want to baste it with butter. Continue to baste with butter every 15 minutes until the breast reaches 150°. Once you hit 150° hit it with the honey glaze, this will help you form that sweet note that we are looking for in this turkey. When the breast hits 155° sprinkle on some Turbinado Sugar, this will help give it a nice crust as the sugar melts into the meat. Once the breast hits 160° pull it off the smoker and let it rest about 10 minutes, the carryover will take you to the 165° and keep the breast from drying out.
After the rest it is time to slice and serve!! Trust me when I say it’s delicious!!

1 turkey (14 to 16 pounds)
glaze:
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup Dijon mustard
1-1/2 teaspoons dried rosemary, crushed
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper
stuffing:
1/2 cup butter, cubed
2 cups chopped onion
1-1/2 cups chopped celery
12 cups unseasoned stuffing cubes or dry bread cubes
1 tablespoon poultry seasoning
2 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
