Making your own rice crackers isn't as hard as you might think! There are many types of rice crackers, but the basic idea is the same regardless of what kind you make: Start with cooked rice, then you shape it, dry it, and puff it in high heat. In this video I show you 2 examples of this process, one that is thin and crispy like rice crackers, and the other one thicker and puffier more like rice cakes.
Their neutral flavour means you can then use it for whatever dip you like, it's a great gluten-free option to go with your favourite dips!

Today i am sharing with you Persian dish called Tahchin! It is a dish made up of rice, saffron, yogurt, eggs and chicken. In this video, i am showing you step by step on how to make this recipe, how to cook the perfect white basmati rice, how to get the crispy rice cake (aka tahdig), more about saffron, how to impress your guests and what the secret ingredient is to the best Persian food.
When I had Tahchin for the first time, I fell head over heels. Who knew rice could be fluffy and tender, but also crispy at the same time.
Persian Tahchin (Crispy Saffron Rice Cake)
Ingredients:
-2 cups Rice (soaked in water for 2 hours before cooking)
-1 cup Dry Barberry
-1/2 kg Chicken Breast (cubes)
-2 tbsp Sugar
-1 tspTurmeric Powder
-1 tsp Black Pepper Powder
-1 pcsChicken Stock
-1 cup Yogurt
-2 egg yolk
-8 tbsp Oil
-2 tbspSalt
-1 Onion(chopped)

1 tsp turmeric
2 glass of water

half a glass of brewed saffron
half a glass of olive oil
2 tbsp rose water
Black pepper , salt , cinnamon to taste
