Healthy Slow Cooker Turkey Chili
In this video, I go through the steps of making a delicious slow cooker turkey chili. It's a healthier alternative to the more traditional beef recipe.

Ground turkey is lean meat so it won't have as much fat in it as other varieties. It's the perfect alternative to ground beef if you're trying to eat a little healthier.
Much like any chili, this will have a fair bit of heat to it. Reduce or remove the chili powder if you don't like spicy food. Most of the flavor will still be there without the chili.
There are many different accompaniments that go great with this recipe. For example, I love to have some sour cream and avocado with this chili.
You can also work chili into many other meals. For example, it's great on nachos, chili cheese fries, and so much more.
If you need a list of all the ingredients that we made use of for this recipe, then you can find one below.
500g (1.1 lb) ground turkey
1 onion, diced
2 tsp garlic, crushed
1 red bell pepper, diced
2 Tbsp tomato paste
800g (1.7 lb) diced tomatoes
400g (0.8 lb) kidney beans
1 tsp chili powder
2 tsp cumin, ground
½ tsp paprika
1 red chili, diced
There are some adjustments that you can make to this recipe. For example, you can leave the beans out if you don't like them. Diced carrots are a great alternative if you want something to replace them.
If you're low on time, you can easily skip the browning of the ground turkey. The browning step does help make a better chili as you can remove a lot of oily liquid early on.
This video should show you everything you need to know for making this turkey chili in the slow cooker. If you have some feedback, tips or anything else, then please don't hesitate to leave a comment below.
