1/4 c Grape Nuts cereal 1/4 c Skim milk Fresh fruit (opt) Honey (opt) Place cereal in microwaveable bowl; add skim milk. Microwave on high to taste; 30 seconds for a BIG crunch, 60 seconds for a little crunch. Add fresh fruit or honey, if desired.

Good Morning everyone,
I thought I would share a super easy recipe that Dr.McDougall and his wife Mary created. It takes no time at all to whip up and it's a simple healthy treat!
GRAPE NUT BARS
- 3 cups grape nuts cereal - 1 cup unsweetened applesauce - 1 cup raisins - 1 cup plant based milk - 1 tsp vanilla - Cinnamon (I added this but it's optional)

Grape Nut Applesauce Muffins
These delicious muffins were the end result of an uneaten box of cereal that I did not want to go to waste. They are not only EASY to make but are also a budget-friendly, HEALTHY snack! A great low-fat breakfast option too!
RECIPE
1 1/4 cups Flour 1 tablespoon Baking powder 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 cup Grape Nuts Cereal 1 cup milk 1 egg slightly beaten 1/2 cup chunky applesauce (I used regular) 1/2 cup Brown sugar firmly packed 2 tablespoons Margarine melted 1/2 cup dried cranberries or raisins I omitted these)
Heat oven to 400(F). Mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl. Mix cereal and milk in another bowl; let stand 3 minutes. Stir in egg, applesauce, sugar and margarine. Add to flour mixture; stir just until moistened (batter will be lumpy). Stir in cranberries. Spoon batter into muffin pan sprayed with nonstick cooking spray, filling each cup 2/3 full.
Bake 20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm. Freeze any leftovers.

Grape Nut Flake Cookies Recipe
3 1/2 C Flour 1 1/2 tsp Salt 1 C Butter 1 1/2 C Brown Sugar 3 tsp Vanilla 2 C Chocolate Chips 1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder 1 1/2 tsp Baking Soda 1 1/2 C Sugar 3 Eggs 3 C Grape Nut Flakes
Pre heat oven to 350 (f). Mix flour, baking powder, salt & baking soda in a bowl and set aside. Cream butter then gradually blend in sugars, beating well after each addition. Beat in eggs & vanilla. Add flour mixture, mixing well. Add cereal & chocolate chips and stir until blended. Drop by tsp onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes until they just start to brown on the edges. They will be a little puffy but will fall a bit once you put them on the cooling rack.
Variations: 2 C chocolate chips, 2 2/3 C shredded coconut 1 C raisins or 1 1/2 C chopped nuts or 1 C chopped dates w/ 1/4 tsp each nutmeg & cinnamon.
