Ingredients:
Serves 3 pax
Ingredients for pork - marinate in the fridge for at least 2 hours

380g of prime ribs
2 tablespoons of light soy sauce
2 tablespoons of oyster sauce
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 tablespoon of fresh ginger juice
6 cloves of grated garlic
1 tablespoon of Chinese white rice wine
A few dashes of white pepper
Egg white of an egg
1/2 cup of cornflour
Other ingredients

1 bulb of chopped garlic
Sprinkle the crispy garlic on the pork before serving.

crispy honey garlic spare ribs recipe (Chinese) - air fryer! [Asian American Cuisine Essentials EP3]
Crispy, crunchy and tender Honey Garlic spare ribs recipe Chinese
- 2 - 2 1/2 lb pork side rib, cut into bite-size pieces.
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 cup oil
Marinade
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp rice wine vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
Sauce
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tsp light soy sauce
- 4 tbsp water
Instructions:
1. Mince 9 cloves of garlic and separate it into three equal portions.
2. In a medium sized bowl, take the first portion of minced garlic and combine it with 1/4 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of rice wine vinegar and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil. Add the 2 - 2 1/2 pounds of pork side ribs to it marinate and set it aside for 1/2 an hour.
3. Combine 1/4 cup of flour with 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and set aside. Then make the sauce by combining the remaining garlic with 1/4 cup of honey, 2 teaspoons of light soy sauce, 4 tablespoons of water and a pinch of salt.
4. When the pork is done marinating, dredge each piece in the flour mixture and then coat each piece with oil. Transfer the pieces to the basket of your air fryer. Set the temperature to 180 degrees Celsius, or 360 degrees Fahrenheit and let it air fry for 12-15 minutes (depending on your air fryer).
5. When the pork is done being air fried, heat up your wok on high heat. Pour the sauce into the pan and turn the heat to medium low to let the sauce reduce. The sauce will be ready when it changes to a caramel colour and looks shiny (approx 5-7 minutes). Transfer the pork into your thickened sauce and quickly toss and transfer to a serving dish.
