How To make Five Alarm Beef Chili
1/4 cup vegetable or olive oil
3 pounds boneless beef chuck (up to 4 lbs)
cubed
2 onions :
chopped
2 green bell peppers chopped
1 4 oz can chopped jalapenos :
or
mild chili peppers 1/3 cup chili powder
1 tablespoon dried oregano
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup beer
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the beef and brwo n all sides. Transfer to Crock-Pot. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons oil to th e skillet and saute the onions and green peppers until soft. Transfer to Crock -Pot. In Crock-Pot, stir in the jalapenos, chili powder, oregano, cumin, salt, and beer. Cover and cook on Low 6 to 8 hours or on High 3 to 4 hours. Serves . Serves 6 to 8

5 alarm chili is a meal for anyone who enjoys flavorful spicy foods! Make this hot chili recipe for a hearty Tex Mex meal on game day! ???? RECIPE BELOW

Ingredients
2 1/2 lbs ground beef (80/20)
1 large white onion chopped
1/4 cup garlic minced
32 oz roasted crushed tomatoes
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup cayenne pepper
1/4 cup California Chili Powder
1/4 cup Ancho Chili Powder
1/4 cup Smoked Paprika
1/4 cup red pepper flakes
2 tbsp ground cumin
2 tbsp black pepper
1 tbsp kosher salt
Instructions
Add all ingredients to a stock pot or Dutch oven.
Turn heat to medium and stir to break up meat with wooden spoon.
Cover with lid and simmer for 1 hour. Remove lid and stir to mix.
Season if needed (salt) and cook for another 1 hour on low, covered.
Serve over steamed tamales topped with chopped onions and shredded sharp cheddar cheese.

This chili recipe is a World Champion Chili Recipe from the 2017 Terlingua Chili Cook-Off. This is the championship-winning recipe from Brent Allen. In the video, we show you how to make a competition style chili (which doesn't allow for fresh ingredients) but we do not follow the recipe to a T, so please check out Brent Allen's competition-winning chili recipe here:
All of the world champion recipes are also posted on the Chili Appreciation Society Appreciation website.
There are several different ways to make a red chili recipe and this is a competition championship chili recipe so it does not include many of those raw ingredients found in a home version of the traditional comfort food chili recipe such as onions or peppers. In competition, you can't add raw ingredients so you must use powders. If you want to try this at home -- which I recommend because it is DELICIOUS -- you can buy all of the chili powders I named online.

1lb ground Turkey
3 cans 10oz diced tomatoes with green chilis
2 jalapeños
1 can tomato paste
1 12 Oz can brown ale
1 can red beans
1 can red kidney beans
1 can cannellini beans
2 packets hot chili seasoning
1 medium onion diced
2 tsp red pepper flakes
Top with jalapeño slices if you are brave!!!
