Hey, my Boos and my Dudes! Another crazy week ahead, but I still gotta eat, lol! In this video, I'll show you how I make my Ground Turkey Lasagna! This is an easy meal that's sure to please. I hope this will be another one that you'll add to your dinner table.????
Here's what you'll need:
Ground turkey (or ground meat of your choice)
Large can of crushed or diced tomatoes
1 can or jar of your favorite pasta sauce
Lasagna pasta
Whole milk ricotta
Egg
Shredded parmasean, shredded mozzarella and additional shredded varieties
Fresh spinach (optional)
Seasonings of choice

Healthy Easy Turkey Lasagna Recipe
Hi guys, and welcome to my kitchen! Today we will be making my famous turkey lasagna that everyone loves! I hope you love it too. Let's get into cooking!
Ingredients:
For turkey meat sauce:
2 lbs ground turkey
1 medium onion, chopped
4 cloves of garlic, chopped
½ each red and green bell peppers, chopped
1 tbpn basil paste, or fresh basil
1 tspn red chili flakes
1 tspn black pepper
1 tspn parsley flakes
1 tspn garlic powder
Salt (to taste)
2 big cans of crushed tomatoes
Ricotta cheese filling:
32 oz. ricotta cheese
1 egg
2 tbspn whole milk
1 tspn red chili flakes
1 tspn black pepper
1 tspn parsley flakes
1 tspn garlic powder
Salt (to taste)
Oven-ready lasagna sheets
Mozzarella cheese
Parmesan cheese
Method:
1. In a deep pot, add olive oil. Once oil is hot, add in the ground turkey meat and let cook till all its natural juices have evaporated and the meat starts to brown.
2. Now add in the chopped onion/garlic, mix well. Then add the peppers and mix again till everything is well incorporated.
3. Add all the seasonings listed above for the sauce and mix well. Let cook for 5 mins.
4. Now add the crushed tomatoes and lower the heat so the sauce can simmer. In the meantime, add more of the dry seasonings to adjust the taste of the sauce. The tomatoes will add an acidity that we want to balance out with the additional seasonings.
5. Cover and let the sauce cook for 1-1/2 hour. Mix every 20-30 mins so it does not stick to the bottom of the pot.
6. In a large bowl, add ricotta cheese, as well as the rest of the ingredients listed above under the filling section. Mix well and let sit in the fridge so the flavors can really come together.
7. After an hour or so, the sauce will be done. You will notice that it has reduced quite a bit, but that is exactly what we are looking for.
8. Before assembling the lasagna, preheat the oven to 350*F. In a 9”x13” baking pan, put a few ladles of the sauce at the bottom, and then top it with the oven-ready lasagna sheets, followed by the ricotta mixture, a few sprinkles of mozzarella cheese, and repeat the process till you have used all the lasagna sheets in the box.
9. Top everything with some Parmesan cheese, and the rest of the mozzarella cheese. I also sprinkled more dried parsley (optional).
10. Bake in the oven for 40-45 mins until the edges start to look brown.
11. Take out of the oven and let sit for at least 20 mins before cutting into it, otherwise it can easily fall apart. This step is crucial!
12. The lasagna is all done! Serve this with your favorite salad, or just on its own.

Easy Turkey lasagna Recipe
Ingredients
1 16 oz (12 sheets) Lasagna sheets
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium onion finely chopped
4 cloves garlic freshly minced
1 lb lean ground turkey
1 15.5 oz marinara sauce homemade or store bought
1 14 oz can tomato sauce
Salt as per taste
Freshly ground black pepper or as per taste
½ tsp ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon italian seasoning
½ tsp dried oregano
4 oz Mozzarella Cheese shredded
fresh basil optional for garnish
Instructions
Cook Lasagna noodles until al dente
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. (1 Tbsp for every 2 quarts of water) Cook lasagna noodles until al dente as per package directions. Stir often to prevent sticking. Drain water in a colander and run the noodles under cool water to stop the cooking process. Grease a rimmed baking sheet with olive oil. Lay out the noodles on the sheet. This will prevent them from sticking.
Making Meat Sauce
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F or 190 degrees C
In a large Dutch Pot heat some olive oil. Add finely chopped onions and cook until translucent. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Add lean ground turkey. Cook on medium heat until the meat is no longer pink. This takes at least 10-minutes.
Stir in Marinara sauce and a can of tomato sauce. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Add dried oregano, italian seasoning, and ground cinnamon. Mix well until combined.
Ricotta Mixture
In a small mixing bowl combine ricotta cheese, egg, and parmesan cheese. Whisk well until combined.
Layer Lasagna
Spread meat sauce in an oven safe 9x13 inch baking dish. Add a layer of cooked lasagna noodles. Spread ricotta mixture. Pour meat sauce and spread it in an even layer. Repeat the steps (at least 3 times or as many times as you want). Add shredded Mozzarella cheese on top.
Bake
Cover the lasagna with an aluminium foil. Bake lasagna casserole in a preheated oven at 375 degrees F for 25-minutes. Uncover and bake for another 20-minutes or until the sides are bubbly.
Garnish with freshly chopped basil and serve right away.

1 box lasagna noodles
1 yellow onion (diced)
3 stalks of celery (optional - diced)
3 cloves minced garlic or 1 tbsp garlic paste
1 28oz can tomato sauce
1 28oz can crushed tomatoes
1/2 cup dry red wine
Salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder
Fresh basil, chopped parsley
1l b ground beef
2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
1 lb sweet italian sausage
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 pinch of sugar
Parsley & Basil
1 egg
8 oz fresh mozzarella (sliced into chunks)
2 cups parmesan
8-10 oz Ricotta cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
salt, pepper, garlic, onion powder, italian seasoning
cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes (to taste)
Directions:
For the Sauce:
Cook ground beef and italian sausage until cooked thru. Remove and strain most of the fat, preserving enough to cook your veggies. Finely chop onion and celery and sauté over medium heat until they become soft. Mince Garlic or use paste - along with fresh herbs and add to onion mixture. Cook until garlic becomes fragrant. Deglaze with red wine and reduce by half. (2-3 minutes) Add in tomato sauce & crushed tomatoes and incorporate. (2-3 minutes) - Add back in the ground beef/sausage. Add italian seasoning and fresh basil along with cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes if desired. Mix in 1/4 cup of Heavy Cream and 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese. Cover and let this sauce simmer for 1-4 hours (stirring occasionally). Wait until the end to season with salt. Adjust the flavors as needed. You can use a pinch of sugar to balance the acidity as needed.
Cook noodles to package instructions. (Heavily salt pasta water) Strain and set aside.
In a separate bowl, mix together Ricotta Cheese, sour cream, and 1/2 of your shredded cheese. Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic, and onion powder. (Taste as you go! Make sure the ricotta mixture tastes good before you mix in your egg) Mix in your egg and chopped parsley with the ricotta mixture and set aside.
Add a little sauce to the bottom of your baking dish and begin to add a layer of pasta. Then add a layer of your cheese mixture and then sauce again and repeat until the dish is full. Top the dish with the remainder of shredded cheese, cover and bake at 375 for about 30 minutes and then remove the cover and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until browned and bubbling. Garnish with some chopped basil.
AMAZING Ground Turkey Lasagna Recipe!
Ground Turkey Lasagna
Servings: 6
Ingredients:
1 lb box uncooked lasagna noodles (Note* you will have extra to allow for breaking)
1 medium yellow onion, chopped
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 lb ground turkey
Salt
Black pepper
Garlic powder
45 oz of your favorite pasta sauce
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
15 oz part skim ricotta cheese
Dried chives (optional)
Directions:
1.) Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2.) Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add in the chopped onion and cook until golden.
3.) Add in the ground turkey. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder and cook thoroughly. Once the meat has cooked, stir in the pasta sauce, lower heat, and bring to a simmer.
4.) Preheat oven to 390 F.
5.) Spread a little of the meat sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish.
6.) Layer with noodles, then meat sauce, then shredded mozzarella cheese, and ricotta cheese.
7.) Repeat step #6 one more time, then add a top layer of lasagna noodles and cover with shredded mozzarella cheese.
8.) Sprinkle some dried chives on top to add color (optional).
9.) Cover and bake for 45 minutes. Then broil uncovered for an additional 2-4 minutes until cheese begins to brown slightly. Remove from oven and enjoy!
***Note: Depending on how much ingredients you use in your layering, you will likely have extra and can create mini lasagna(s) in glass tupperware (with lids) to freeze for later. To bake a frozen lasagna, thaw in fridge overnight and follow same baking instructions above.
