Simple Butter Shortbread | Scottish Style | ショートブレッド
This shortbread recipe started off as me trying to recreate the popular Walkers shortbread, but after a some time I ended up changing it to suit my preferences and I hope you enjoy baking these too.

230g cake flour (8.5% protein)
40g corn starch
180g unsalted butter (82% butterfat min. see notes above), soft

3 Ingredient Shortbread Cookies Recipe | Easy Shortbread Finger Shape Cookies
Today let me help you make this perfect classic shortbread cookies, as well as the light, crumbly, and guaranteed to melt in the mouth textured shortbread finger cookies at home, that too with just 3 ingredients. These buttery shortbread fingers are so simple to make and the perfect accompaniment to hot or iced tea, coffee, or ice cream. You can shape shortbread cookies into wedges (the classic shape), or into fingers (my favorite), circles, or in other fancy shapes using cookie cutters. You can even make shortbread cookie balls and fill them with jam for a different version of thumbprint cookies. Shortbread cookies are originated in Scotland and insanely popular throughout the world.
►Ingredients for shortbread butter cookie recipe
Butter - 225gms
Sugar - 125 gms
All-Purpose flour - 340 gms
►Method for shortbread cookie recipes
1. Take room temperature butter and whisk till it is fluffy.
2. Add powdered sugar and mix.
3. Add flour and mix again.
4. Gently knead and make a dough.
5. Roll to 1'' thickness and cut in the shape of finger shortbread cookies.
6. Bake at 150-degree Celcius for 40 minutes
7. Cut again when it is warm.
8. Allow it to cool down completely and take it out.

How To Make Shortbread | Good Housekeeping UK
Find out how to make shortbread in a few simple steps - delicious buttery and crisp shortbread biscuits made easy with our step-by-step video.
Ingredients:
250g (9oz) plain white flour, sifted, plus extra to dust
175g (6oz) unsalted butter, at room temperature, cubed
75g (3oz) caster sugar
Demerara or granulated sugar, to sprinkle
1. Into a mixing bowl, put flour and butter then rub together using fingertips until mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Add caster sugar and bring together using hands.
2. Dust work surface with flour and turn out dough on to worksurface. Form into a thick sausage shape. Wrap in cling film and chill for 30min.
3. Slice dough widthways, into roughly 1cm (½in) thick discs and remove cling film. Line a baking sheet with baking parchment, and put shortbread discs on sheet with plenty of space between to allow them to spread when cooking. Sprinkle with demerara or granulated sugar.
4. Bake at 200°C (180°C fan) mark 6 for 15-16min, until pale golden. Cool for 10min on baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container for up to one week.

So this week we are taking it slow with this delicious melt in the mouth buttery Choc Chip Shortbread. All you need is a bowl, a spoon, a baking tray and a few basic ingredients. Shortbread is simple and quick to make which means you can take your time and ENJOY IT!
